The source sounds a little shaky, and the details are skimpy. It may be a fairly bland political directive which doesn’t actually grant the lethal leeway the article suggests. It may also be that Gorby’s signature simply meant he had seen it, but he had no (name removed by moderator)ut and couldn’t reasonably have refused to sign. And it could easily be a forged document. Having said all that, I will be very interested if there actually is something to this.

I get the feeling there were MORE assassins besides Ali Aja (spelling). There were others at Vatican Square that day, in my sense of it.

According to Tom Clancy (Red Rabbit) somebody was supposed to kill Agca to keep him from being captured but Jack Ryan nailed the guy.

Oh, and it was Andropov, not Gorbachev who ordered the hit.

The article said that Gorbachev was a signatory to the hit.

Nothing that suprising here. It is well known that the Soviets saw JPII as a threat. In history’s lense, their fears were well founded. Mikhail Gorbachev always was, and always will be a communist. At the time he was a member of the Politburo. He was as bound to follow the party line, both by his own personal inclination, and by the political pressure of the Soviet system.

So true! Gorbachev has risen to the top in the Soviet Union because he is a bona fide Communist. One such has the Party and communism as their One, True, god.

The difference between Gorbachev and his predecessors is MG put on a “kinder, gentler” face on tyranny.

As an aside, for as long as he was in public view that birthmark on his forehead seemed more than superficial, to me, at least.

Is that a reference to the Mark of the Beast?

I never thought that the Mark would look like a map of Laos.🤷

An artist friend composed a painting of the shooting just a year after the terrible tragedy…in the background is a hand, with the coimmunist clenched fist salute crushing a cross! After this book was reported in Worldnetdaily.com I got the shivers…

Images contradict Blasey Ford key testimony
It’s a kind of “ink-blot” test. If it was held up and viewed at varying angles it could take on a different resemblance.

I’ll bet that a copy of that mark could be shown to schollchildren and THEY might come up with clear resemblance. Kids are unencumbered with our fixed notions of things.
