Wrong line of thought. And I am posting this to correct your use of upper-case.
I would ask my sons to let me know where they were going, but if it were 5 pm on Saturday evening, I think I could rightly assume they were going to Mass. I would never punish my sons for going to Mass, confession, adoration, to speak to a priest, etc. Even if they forgot to tell me where they were going.
We’re not going to agree on this. The OP said in previous posts that her parents ARE Catholic and it really doesn’t matter if they are lapsed or not. They are still under the obligation and should understand that she is as well.
Besides, where did I ever say that she should not tell them where she was going? I said, “Just go,” by which I mean, “Do not let your parents’ plans get in the way of meeting your obligation.” She assumed they would “probably” not let her go to Mass, but she was wrong, her father allowed her to go.
Why are we arguing about this??
