i went to a 2nd rites confession and i told the father my sins. A 2nd rite is with a group of people and about 4 or 5 prist to do indivual as well. what is annoying me is that is it the same as a proper one on one confession

Whenever I get Confession my priest says, “By the ministry of the Church, I absolve you of all sins, spoken and unspoken.”

If you were truly sorry and committed to not committing that sin again when you got Confession, even if you didn’t say it, then I (think) that you are forgiven.

i used to say lastful thoughts and actions but now i’m thinking should i have said masterbation instead of lastful actions anyone know. note i dont do these thing anymore and i wish i could go back and change everything.

More than ten years ago, in my early 20s, I often committed a grave sin. That was mostly before I was even confirmed. I have been to confession a lot since then. I am almost sure I have confessed it, but I am not totally sure. Maybe I haven’t confessed all the important details either. After church teaching, can I go to communion before I go to confession again?

According to catholic teaching, if you confessed and did your penance, it’s done and over with!

You probably suffer from scrupulosity… it’s a form of religious obsessive compulsive disorder. This is extremely common.

Fr. Thomas Santa has a great book about scrupulosity.
Be at peace.
