Please pray for my great-uncle Bill. He fell down the stairs leading to his basement and is now in a coma. Doctors are doing tests to determine if he has any likelihood of coming out of the coma, etc. He has broken several ribs. In all honesty things don’t look very good for him right now. 😦

I was never close with my great-uncle Bill. He has always been a rather mean spirited man and he does not practice the faith. The only times I’ve known him to go to Mass is for funerals. 😦 I am especially worried in light of this that he may not be in a state of grace. Please pray for his physical recovery, but even more importantly please pray that if he dies that he will not die without sincerely repenting of his sins and receiving Our Blessed Lord’s forgiveness.

Lord, please hear and answer our prayer for jtodisco’s great-uncle.

Our Father…
Hail Mary…
Glory be…

Amen.

Prayers for your great uncle and his family and friends.
Mary.

Turn to me and have mercy,
for I am alone and in deep distress. Psalm 25:16

Dear God, please be with jtodisco’s great uncle who is in need of your mercy and help. Please let this experience be a turning point in his life so that he can seek and find a closer relationship with you through your Son. Thank you for jtodisco’s service to you and your kingdom, and my his happiness and joy increase. Please forgive us our sins. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Sure will. He’s on my prayer list. Will somebody call a priest for anointing of the sick?

I want to, but have no say in the matter. His children and grandchildren are taking responsibility for him at the hospital right now. Sadly, in all likelihood were my great-uncle conscious he would refuse an anointing. This is one of the reasons why I am quite worried for him. 😦 I am hoping that God will allow him some special grace that will spur him to sincere repentance even though he is in a coma and has neglected his spiritual life for years.

Thanks to everyone for their kind prayers for my great-uncle.

Please continue to remember my great-uncle Bill in your prayers. Thank you and God bless you.

Thank you all for your prayers. My great-uncle is still in a coma. The doctors do not think he has a very good prognosis considering his age and health problems (combined with the trauma he suffered from his fall).

I have suggested that a priest be brought to see him and anoint him. Whether or not that will be done remains to be seen. Even so, I worry about whether or not it will matter since he would likely reject an anointing or make a confession were he conscious. 😦

Regardless, please continue to remember him in your prayers. Especially since he may pass away in the coming days or weeks.

Your is heavy.

Hail Mary, full of grace.
Our Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Remembering your great-uncle Bill in my daily prayers. God bless!

My great-uncle has been moved to hospice care. He is expected to pass away in a week or two. While this is sad news, I am happy to report that from what I understand a priest was brought in to anoint him. I only hope that he was open to receiving the sacrament and has repented. He hasn’t woken up and his brain activity is more or less non-existent so there’s little chance he will wake up prior to passing away.

Thanks again for your prayers.

My great-uncle woke up today in hospice! He can speak, though only weakly. But he seems to be mostly aware of his surroundings. He’s suffered some paralysis, but it’s possible that he might recover from his fall/coma. Please continue to pray for him.

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen
