Voting Green in this Thursday’s election for the Scottish parliament is a vote to end Catholic education in the nation, according to the Church’s education chief in Scotland.

The much vaunted “world-class” Scottish education system grew out of local parish schools (primarily and historically of course of the Church of Scotland but increasing in diversity as the population changed). It seems perverse to want to end the whole lot.

While the environmental credentials of the (British) Green Party probably should be praised, it’s always been rather troubling that there’s an awful lot of a particular sort of dogma that invariably accompanies it.

It seems every time Scotland is in the news, it is about not wanting something else, which begs the question, what DO they want?

This is similar to the rest of Northern Europe. Except, in Scotland they dress it all with a portion of Scottish nationalism, to put a pressure on London.

Tried to post the frown only, but got an error message saying my message was too short, so…

According to people I know in England, welfare money from English taxpayers.

Green parties are marxist-socialist. They use concern for nature as a pretext for government control over businesses and society, just as with those who promote the green agenda in the United States.
