I’m following that story since couple of days, and I think it would be a victory for Al-Qaeda before Islam, because of two things:
  1. The location.
  2. The name of the mosque “Cordoba” is the name of a former Islamic capital in Spain when Muslims conquered it back in 716AD.
I’m sure that Al-Qaeda would use that as a propaganda, and I think Muslims in the US should give respect for those people whom have lost relatives in that location and should show little tolerance and abandon that idea which could backfire on them and on Islam.

The background of the leader of the mosque is now coming out in the open. It is an outrage, but it also shows that we have many, many native people in power in our country who are in the process of destroying it.

This disinformation war has been going for 40 years, and Communism is the wound on the forehead hat will heal…and militant Islam will become the religious power.

Whop whop whop

There are a number of us Catholics who are preparing to lay down our life for Jesus…or should I say neck.

As Catholics we should be sympathetic to those who’s faith is abused by extremists, imposters and charletans. Whilst 9/11 was a Tragedy I see no reason to persecute or apportion blame to muslims in general, depriving them of their right to practice their faith - or restricting their places of worship unfairly based upon the misguided actions of a few extremists is not a fair thing to be doing.

👍

We are talking about the leadership and intentions of the mosque, as well as its connections.

The leader of the mosque has spoken in Arabic in the past, contradicting his public image of tolerance, that he does not believe in religious dialogue. He supports Sharia law. The mosque is not a simple sign of peace, but 13 stories high to be used as a place to teach Islam. There is also great concern about the source of funds to build it, coming from expansionist Muslims.

Do you know the history of conquest by Islam? When it destroys a site or church, it builds a mosque.

9/11 is the greatest foreign attack, and a merciless one attacking innocent people. The ‘debris’ we saw coming out of the buildings were in fact human beings.

We must care for human beings who lost those at the WTC. We must defend our country and our people, and most of all our faith.

The name Cordoba…is the mosque held by Spain. Do you know the history of Spain that endured 700 years of Moorish invasions and a period when the natives were dhimmis? 9/11 is significant war date in Islam.

Since 9/11, things have only gotten worse. People are afraid of our government, our Muslim president, and the deliberate spending and wasting of our economy.

The New World Order is coming, and Islam will impose itself as the world religion. Atleast we can say we tried. In the end, good will prevail.

John,

You appear to be unaware of Islam’s history. It is its trademark to conquer, then build a mosque on the holy ground of those conquered. Just look at the Dome of the Rock being build on Temple Mount. Review what happened in Spain and Byzantium.

To be tolerant of the intolerant will be the West’s demise.

Know your friends well, keep them close. Know your enemies better to defeat them, and trust me, most who follow Sharia Law will try to humiliate you, tax you, and kill you. I use the term kill instead of murder because to kill an infidel is legal in Islam.

You can find valid interpretations of the Qu’ran and hadiths on the USC.edu site.

My apologies to Kathy Gee. I should have read your post before responding to Damian.:o

There is no doubt that many Muslims see this as a great victory, further proof of their inevetable triumph. Howere New York is in the United States, its not Saudi Arabia or Pakistan. Our first freedom, the number one amendment to our constitution says we pay no heed to this. We do nothing but laugh at claims of victory because of the naming of a building.

We do not want to become like England.

We have had countless immigrants come to our country from many nations. Never have we seen such militant and punitive behavior by newcomers as the Muslims. The FBI reported that 80% of their charges of discrimination were baseless…there is the case of the 6 flying imams…the burka woman who went to Ambercombie and Fitch to sue…a set up.

But it is very obvious that those Muslims who come in to sue their way to dominance have an agenda. The common people are on to them. But our government in power now hates the common people. It was reported from Egypt that our present president admitted there he was a Muslim. He is very close to the anti-semitic Farrakhan. They and the secular culture are the ones who defend the militants.

Right now, New Yorkers found out the Muslims were buying a former Catholic convent. The pastor withdrew from the sale. Now the Muslims are going to start fighting and suing…to get the convent. They said they won’t back down.

There are American legal firms already at battle. There are congressmen wanting these kind of Muslims out of the country. There are Muslims in this country who are behaving normal for about 20 years years to come.

The mosque will be used to spread Islam…at the site of the destruction in our country by foreign powers. How it got to be was a group of 28 local American financiers…a sell out for a pot of coins…

What is so frightening is that this spirit of inhumanity using the veil of religion has been at work since Cain and Abel.

And, the other day passing by our new and instant Muslim community, I stopped the car in the rain so a Muslima in her long robes could hurry over to her home…she gave me a smile I could die for…three times looking back at me with such love and deep felt affection in her heart.

We are so concerned about England and its tolerance of so much hatred, infiltration, and wantonness by its native people.

We have alot of bad here as well; we are no better. But England and Pakistan are considered the breeding grounds of extremists. I saw a video of Muslim thugs following the bobbies down the street and leading them up to against the wall. Nottingham?..wherever…it was now the town for Muslims.

They kill people who don’t agree with them. They scorn our “tolerance” as cowardice. Pass laws that prohibit minarets and head coverings.

When we push for peace at all costs they will walk all over us. You’re from England, how about a little history lesson from Neville Chamberlain and the Nazis?

Nice attempt at a low blow. Tell me, while Chamberlain was busy appeasing Hitler (and even when Churchill took the reins), what were the Americans doing?

In any case. I have had very, very few run ins with Muslims (and I live in an area with a large Muslim population). While I have no desire to see Islam gain ground anywhere on Earth, I think you guys are all a bit paranoid.

New World Order? You know those nutcases place us Catholics right at the heart of the conspiracy.

This isn’t a U.S. vs. England argument I’m using, this is a reference to historical political appeasement that didn’t work much like the “Ground Zero Mosque” that many view as being another case of the above statement. I sited Neville Chamberlain because the poster I was trying to connect the point with was from England, it was intended to be more of a statement to hit home rather than below the belt. My apologies if I did the latter.

The first right in the Bill of Rights tells us that government in the US can not be in the position of politically appeasing or affirming any faith, no matter where they want to place or what to name their place of worship.

Politics is an ugly art. It has no business with religion or important matters. If people wish to build a Mosque on land they have bought then that is their choice, I would not brook people denying the construction of a Church because of the Catholic “Scandals”, and I shall not be a hypocrite and deny the privalege of freedom to other faiths.

I see your point of view though someone who speaks in opposition to the government and the religions of the people under this government should have a better background check. There is a large funding for this building from many unknown sources who paid cash as well as the facilitator of this project who looks to impose Sharia on the U.S… There’s 5.6 million square miles in this country to build a mosque, I think they can find a better place. I can’t see how a group that waves the banner of tolerance can be so intolerant of the very people who lost family and friends in those towers. I don’t see why someone else couldn’t buy that building and actually do something a bit more considerate with it.

Twenty-eight financiers concerned only for their own profit made the decision, not the public. There was no consultation, and the deal was going about without full disclosure.

The whole bunch is not interested or concerned about the welfare of our people.

When people tolerate evil, some day it will be at their doorstep.
