There is ongoing expansion by Islam and anyone opposing them is called a bigot.

There is no permission of expansion of Christianity or other religions in the world of Islam.

People should understand now.

How callous to put an education center by the site, a horrific and sadistic crime against humanity. And calling it Cordoba…it is deliberate. The Church of Damascus was torn down and replaced by a mosque. St. Mary Major of Justinian in Jerusalem was partly destroyed by the pre-Islam Persians; the Arabic Muslims finished it off. The great mosque was deliberately built over the location of the ancient Jewish temple.

The Cordoba Mosque is nothing more than a stake and sign of victory of Islam.

Pray and do penance and be wise as serpents, gentle as doves.

Likewise, there was someone the other day speaking for the Vatican praising sharia law. They are at the Vatican. They should promote the Church’s stand on usury.

Catholics need to defend Catholicism and a more humane way of life, and stop making excuses for questionable and deviant behavior.

Please site your reference for this, I would like to read it.

Good post, I find myself agreeing with that point of view. How much of that area is actually populated? Meaning what percentage is businesses and residential? If there is not residential space there, then there is no need for a massive place of worship.
I wouldn’t know the answer to that question 😊 I tried looking it up but couldn’t find any reliable details. Someone said in this CNN article that the area is indeed moreso populated by businesses than residents: cnn.com/2010/US/05/07/new.york.ground.zero.mosque/index.html

The Muslim organizations pursuing this project claim, however, that the Muslim population is growing at a fast enough rate that makes it necessary to build another mosque.

And how ironic is it that the mosque will begin building on September 11, 2011…

I don’t know about everybody else, but I would not feel good about myself or others of my same faith if the roles were reversed:

Say Christians committed incredibly violent and evil terrorist attacks in an Islamic nation as a sign that we will kill if we need to in order to impose our will. And it doesn’t stop there. Christians later decide to build a huge cathedral on the site of the terrorist attack, and justify it by law.

Where is the basic human dignity of these Muslim people? If you were a Christian and the above scenario actually took place, how could you feel this is right?

Are any Muslims speaking out against this?

Justin,

Check out Catholic News…I think the thread came out yesterday. Vatican spokesman speaking for good of Sharia…

Yes, I would like to see any Muslim speak against this. This is absurd, disrespectful, hateful, and NOT of God.

The year following 9/11, many Muslims were hearing about how there were possibly Muslims discovering America before Christopher Columbus…you can do a search…I heard it and the references came right up.

There are many Muslims who know in their heart this is wrong. I remember seeing an Imam in Great Britain having a public debate with the radicals imams. He told them their thinking was a sickness…it was really sick.

And it is sick for people to want to build a self-promoting mosque at the site of 9/11, and begin on that date…9/11 is a significant date to the Muslim world in terms of war and conquest.

Good luck.

Having been to this area of Manhattan a couple of times, it is mostly a business district. There are the neighborhoods of Soho and Greenwich Village nearby, but not enough people to justify such a massive mosque, and right by ground zero… anybody with any common sense knows there is a motive behind the Muslims putting a mosque there.

Yes,we want ground zero building discussion. We would LIKE to hear many Muslim condemn this hate. Or does it prove Islam is a faith of hate? If not , we would like to hear it. Many Muslims talk about many topics in this forum, but so far ,deaf silence.

I met a Muslim woman when working in the Legion of Mary.

She told me most Muslims know in their hearts what happened in NYC was wrong.

What I am referring to are those entities that want to take over our country. I resent immigrants coming in to enjoy the benefits of our country, and then suing and lying and taking over, and bleeding our economy with trumped up events…flying imams comes to my mind…set up.

I cannot believe how many Americans are now on to what is happening. And now our Muslim president wants to take over the internet.

The more people learn the actual truth about each other, we begin to see we are all equal before God. And that God wants us to treat each other as brethren.

There was one Planten here on CAF that I came to like. Someone said, however, he was a minority. And a short while ago, there were a few of them that were killed in Pakistan. He did speak out against terrorism and violence and exploitation of citizenship as very wrong. But he would make mistakes in thinking he had the correct interpretation of Christ. All he can speak for is the understanding of his own faith, and to promote the dignity of all people.

There are Muslims here in this country who want to speak out but it is their leadership that has control over them…

Lord, deliver us from all evil. There is a petition going to Mayor Bloomberg of NYC that is being passed now through the entire country. There is a former Catholic convent now on Staten Island that is facing a hostile takeover by Muslims with alot of money.

Some day Islam and China will be the great powers…it is coming.

So it doesn’t matter what was done in NYC to all the innocent people???

That is the problem with Islam…the rest of mankind is nothing. So it is a stake…

building mosques isn’t an evil thing which requirs muslims to speak against it , at least from point of view of muslims 🙂

anyway , this was my openion which i wrote 1 month ago

Is it ok then, using your logic, after a tragic attack is set off in Mecca, Christians build a church at that site on the anniversary date of that event? Is that evil? I know Saudi Arabia won’t let that happen, but just saying if somehow it did? Please don’t misunderstand, I in no way would like that to happen.

Good analogy. Folks, read Arab media for insight regarding how Muslims insight violence against all nonMuslims, calling for humiliation, killing, rape of all nonMuslims. Just read a report how a Muslim cleric claims that if a Muslim rapes a nonMuslim he will be rewarded with 70 virgins. Nice. Be aware of what the West is facing.
