The Catholic Association, for all its claims to be nonpartisan, is highly partisan.

TCA’s Senior Policy Advisor, Maureen Malloy Ferguson, for example, is wife of former Republican Congressman Mike Ferguson (NJ), who chaired Chris Christie’s 2009 campaign. She was a delegate to the Republican National Convention in 2008, and currently serves as a County Committee Member in Union County, NJ.

I wasn’t asking her to do anything, so I don’t understand your question. I was simply pointing out that The Catholic Association is a Republican group and that its motives appear to be partisan.

How do you know it’s a Republican group?

They say they are non-partisan. Does that mean in order to not be a “Republican group” the members must not be Republicans? I don’t think so!

Example: In my local government there are many non-partisan elected offices (Board of Supervisors for a specific example). People of any political affiliation can run for those offices.

From what they say, this group “engages on issues that are compellingly based on the Teaching of the Church and also serve as a uniting issue for faithful Catholics.”

Seems to me one doesn’t need a certain party affiliation to do that. 🤷
