LOL–aw, what’s wrong with the Steelers?:ehh: Steelers? come on dude…

Yea…I’ve always loved the Steeleres…and living in Texas and Louisiana most of my life makes it strange…love the Cowboys again though. I met a retire player in a group I used to meet with. He’s a high school coach now trying to work into college ball. Don’t ask who because I won’t let his name out of the bag…would be a violation of his privacy.Yeah me…But after the game on Saturday, I wouldn’t be saying it too loud…
Kathy
aw–you and Malia are so sweet. My husband and I have looked at each other on several occasions, as we blurt out the same response to someone in the family, or while watching a tv show, etc… He will say…this is getting scary.[SIGN]Welcome![/SIGN]
No wonder WG is married to you. You guys sound similar in the way you espress yourselves… what a lucky gal! And you too of course!![]()
If he is that Hard Core, he will make a great SEC Football Fan!TIME–I am anxious to see my husband’s reply to that about the SEC. My sister works in the hotel business, and recently had the TB Bucs stay at her resort (last year) and she mailed us all shirts that were given to her by them (by their marketing rep). My husband was like, "nice of her to do, but I can’t wear that.’ Like it had cooties on it or something ha! He’s*** really ***serious about that stuff. lolI bought him a Steelers jacket last year, and he would not wear it once the season was over. I said, it’s cold out, why don’t you wear your new Steelers jacket? He would be like, ‘You only wear things like that during season.’
Oh my word.![]()
Back at ya-no probSometimes, I have. hee heeLove ya honey…thanks for joining!
:hug1:
Thx Joya, my wife is so cool. I would agree with ya there. It’s time to branch out now, and see some new threads. lolWelcome to CAF! Your wife is so cool! I’ve really enjoyed discussing stuff from a Catholic point of view with her. Hope you have fun here!
Thx 4 the welcome, TIME. Reason I say 6 kids, is because we had our son despite following NFP. Think we need a class?Welcome on-line PenguinsFan. That was a name I voted for too.Boy those Steelers, so close, but the Penguins will make up for it.
I have only been on-line since the Fall, but I have learned a lot of great things and quotes. It will be great to have more manly-man opinions on board(No Offense WG).![]()
PF: "my wife praises this message board, and says that we need to be following all of the Church’s teachings. (so if we end up with 6 more kids, I am coming looking for you) lol just joking.…If you have six more, YOU DA MAN, Pen.
We all grew up in Catholic Schools too. In Grammar School we were taught by Dominican Sisters from East Orange, NJ. Did you know of them?
Congratulations on that job at Disney, Bro, that is awesome.
Hey, given you have your location as South-East does that mean you are becoming an SEC Football fan?
THis is a silly question, but is the phrase “I tell ya!” a Pittsburgh thing? Because my college roommate lives in Pittsburgh (Bethel Park to be exact and was even in your old parishI’m off today. Not sure if my wife mentioned this or not, but I got a new job at Disney, I start in about a week. We are both really happy, my career has had some pitfalls since moving here, but being in sales/business dev. at Disney, we are both really happy about it. I was feeling discouraged for a while, but I worked for Disney before, long time ago, and now to be back there, it feels like the best fit for me. My wife kept telling me to pray, we prayed together about it, she is a prayer warrior, I tell ya! But, God works thru our prayers, I know that, and see it in our lives.
We have talked about some of u, but I can’t remember names well, sorry! Make it a good one and thanks for all the replies here!
Catch up later.
Not to hijack the thread but what year did you graduate from STeubenville? I have aunts, uncles and cousins (and one of my brothers) that attended there. They are all in their early 30’s. Just thought that you might know some of themGo LEAFS Go! (Sorry, my own husband would never let me get away if I didn’t say that!)
Seriously, welcome! I am your wife’s prayer partner, so I am one of the many people that has been praying for you recently.
We’re a hockey-loving family, too, but can’t really get away from it since my DH is Canadian, eh? I went to school in Steubenville, OH and spent many a weekend in Pittsburgh, even went to some Pens games (when they were playing the Leafs, of course!) DH and I spent our honeymoon night at the Mariott Metro Center across from Mellon Arena and we got a great view of the arena. I joked with him that only HE could manage to still be that close to a hockey game on his wedding night!
Welcome to the forum! Make yourself at home.![]()
LOL–I never really thought about it, but probably? haha I picked it up living there, my husband always had it, because he was born and raised there…but, something else I picked up is…‘do you think?’ (at the end of a lot of things I say in everyday life)THis is a silly question, but is the phrase “I tell ya!” a Pittsburgh thing? Because my college roommate lives in Pittsburgh (Bethel Park to be exact and was even in your old parish) and she always says that phrase ever since she relocated there:shrug:
