You shouldn’t group all protestants together, because there are a lot of Protestants who do think highly of/ respect her. There are even some who talk to her.Yes, they do! The Quran has a whole book, I believe it’s Sutra 8 dedicated to her. The question then becomes why Protestants don’t love her and respect her. And worse yet, think they’re honoring Jesus by insulting her and downplaying her role in salvation history. The only time she comes up in most protestant churches is at Christmas time. I guess it’s a little hard to have an incarnated God without a mother to give Him flesh and blood. At Christmas she’s nice and silent and doesn’t have a rosary or scapular with her so she isn’t threatening to them.
