Hallucinations?

I don’t believe all that. I’m just worried that how do we know the witnesses weren’t brainwashed. That’s all.I do believe in God and Jesus.

The opportunity to receive Jesus.and spend time with the Lord

Btw, I called to make an appointment with my priest an am waiting for I’m to call me back. Not sure what I’m doing to say to him.

No that isn’t what I said. You all told me to see a shrink and when I told you what my shrink that I’ve seen for many years has said, and has gotten me worried, you put words in my mouth.

I’m just now worried about what he said.

You believe that people had a hallucination.
Yet, you believe the Mass is something special.
I’m saying…that the Mass is about Calvary and the Resurrection.
You did say that, in fewer words.

It’s about FAITH, faith.
Either one has it or they don’t.
You have OCD.
Deal with that in a more concrete way, and see an excellent Spiritual Director. if your parish priest is not equipped to deal with a problem of this magnitude, seek out the advice of the other Spiritual Directors in the Diocese.
As 1ke says, the internet is not helping you.
Only qualified therapists and Spiritual Directors can. We can talk in circles and you can twist your meaning to keep the conversation going.
But the devil is playing with you.
Stop it. Before you lose your faith altogether.

Because the witnesses were not all believers. They were not all a part of the Apostles, they were not all disciples, and several flat out believed the Apostles and Disciples were blasphemous louts. And, one more time, the Romans were interested in, and actually did try to, protect the tomb and wanted to prove Jesus was still dead. The Jewish authorities wanted to prove Jesus was still dead. Where’s the body?

And, let me add, truly I’m not trying to be sacrilegious, the Apostles at the time of the resurrection couldn’t have brainwashed anyone, reread who foresook the Lord and fled. Their courage and public preaching in power didn’t happen til Pentecost. Paul wasn’t brainwashed, he was having fun getting others to hunt down and kill Christians, etc…

And, as Luke tells us, “He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.”
 
Lookie here, Faith; it wasn’t mind altering drugs or mass hallucinations, rather it was the Holy Spirit descending on the disciples at Pentecost. When the Spirit came and the disciples began speaking about Our Lord in languages they understood, all these foreign people couldn’t understand how a group of Galilean men could speak their native language. They, too (the disciples) were dismissed as drunks. “They have been drinking too much new wine.” said they. Acts 2: 13.

Who needs hallucinations when you have the Holy Spirit?
