Don’t forget his mate GK Chesterton, the Apostle of Common Sense, if he’s not already on your list.

A few months back, i heard Scott Hahn mention a GKC quote regarding the fall of the West into the the present-day corruption and decadence (GKC was a visionary.):
In his book “Catholcism and Fundamentalism”, in the Chapter “At the Fringe”, Karl Keating says:
Way out of date now, of course. Chick and Rivera are dead, and Mr Alamo is behind bars.
So the extremes of the extremes inflict damage, even if only indirectly.
Unfortunately, the sedevacantists have the same effect.
Puritanism was mentioned because it fits in with the incendiary language of Maples’ and his hatred of “bells and smells” and “pomp and ceremony”, in spite of the rituals of OT worship. At the very least, doesn’t he understand the symbolism of incense?
Hilaire Belloc, GK Chesterton and others like them wrote what they thought, and thought what they wrote. No beating about the bush, like so many do these days.
