Hopefully, you are able to discern such things; your previously quoted statement, however, does not reflect the most open mind.
open mind to what? i am very open mind to all that is True.

let s not deny that many in the Church has caused great damage and took away the beauty of the CC from many people. they have created a new Church. can you deny how many people dont even know how the CC used to be?

I am sure that even you have a very narrow perception of how the “CC used to be.” It is an experience that can be different for everyone depending on where they were born and raised. Just because the Church of today does not recall the Church you remember doesn’t mean that it is a “new Church.” If you are so open minded to “all that is True” then you would realize the seriousness of your assertion that the Church of today is a “new Church;” it is the same one, holy, catholic, apostolic Church that it always has been.

So, you prefer to forgo receiving the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ because "i dont want to go to Mass in a Church that have no kneelers, the Altar is on the Center, and the choir sounds like radio songs, and i dont like the new buildings?"
Unbelievable…and I thought that it was the "Novus Ordo Catholics" who thought it was "all about me."

I sincerely hope that you find the wisdom you seek.
Typical liberal excuse!.
Would love to see the tide turned "So, you prefer to forgo receiving the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ because "i dont want to go to Mass in a Church that has Latin (liturgical language of the Roman Rite), the Altar faces East along with the Priest and Deacon (Since Christ will return from the East), and the choir doesn’t sing folk songs (Pride of place for Gregorian Chant), and the Church buildings are not of modern architectural design (It looks to much like a Roman Church, in the shape of a Cross).

Really!. Could have fooled me. Maybe the Eastern Catholic Church/Orthodox Churches are the same. But the Roman Rite is far from the same as it was before Vatican 2.

Seems to me like a “major” schism brewing in the Roman Rite. And I think this Pope will not side with the liberals this time.

Illuminating. Thank you.

I attend a parish here in my hamlet with a VERY REVERANT Ordinary Form. Maybe it’s that reverance many are simply asking for.

I realize that the CC is and always will be the CC. the Worship is not the same, period. it needs to be changed to what it used to be. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. the Lord has told His Church how to Worship, but man wants to worship however he likes. this is the CC, we do not create, we dont make up Worship as we go along. with all due respect to your preferences.

we have a reoccuring strawman.
If you honestly do not see any of the NO aspects I described then you too are very lucky. However, I suspect you have and if not you should realize they are quite common based on spending time on this website. For the sake of argument I didn’t even get into serious abuses we all know occur. To suggest I’m making strawmen leads me to question your sincerity and motivation.

Nearly every? As a percentage? Am I the Novus Ordo Catholics’ greatest critic? Attacking and ridiculing are excessive, don’t ya think?

Happy 40th Birthday Novus Ordo. We’ve been through worse. We’ll endure.
Thank you for proving my points as you went on to make another whole post of attacking and ridiculing. You’re right, there really isn’t any need for further discussion. When one is so set in their mind and has such disdain for the Ordinary Form of the Church’s liturgy and fellow Catholics–truly “traditional” Catholic virtues! 👍–there really isn’t much that can be discussed.

I’ll have to stick with the Catholic Church and hope you won’t be too terribly offended if I show no interest in joining the First Church of Ockham, whatever “religion” that might be. And yes, I’ll stand by my perception of idolatry in the glorification of the vehicle over the purpose. I’m sorry if that offends you; it offended many when Jesus pointed it out to them in his own time also.

It is a shame that even during this beautiful time of Advent we can’t seem to seek peace. I will continue to pray that one day we will see that and that we can at least make a first step toward unity by not being divided by our own Catholic brethren.

“This is the effect of true charity, to be on good terms with all men, to consider no one your enemy, and to live at peace with those who hate peace.”–Robert Bellarmine

All catholics have a grave duty to attend Mass on Sundays and Days of Obligation. We are not obligated to receive, but we still must attend. How do you deduce that we “don’t need to attend Mass at all to receive Christ” in the Eucharist?
On Sundays, yes. On weekdays, no. You can simply time a Mass when they distribute communion and go in just for that. Also, Christ is brought to many nursing homes, hospices, etc., when the communicant is not assisting at Mass. But you knew that.

I provided transportation for a relative to a NO service tonight. I sat in the pew and observed the following:

Closing the 5:30pm NO service at St. John Berchmans Cathedral, Shreveport, LA, tonight, a rollicking rendition of the hit country song “Christmas Shoes” sung by the presider to close out his homily—
“Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please,
It’s Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size,
Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there’s not much time,
You see she’s been sick for quite a while,
And I know these shoes would make her smile,
And I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight…”

I couldn’t help but notice that the honky-tonk, clankity clank sounds of the upright piano—yes, the presider accompanied himself RIGHT UP THERE WITH THE PIANO IN THE SANCTUARY—were hauntingly reminiscent of another hit song of not long ago, “Walking in Memphis,” by Marc Cohn. What a treat!

Ouch…starting my own religion, idolatry, lying, deception, strawmen, red herrings, etc, etc, etc, and under the guise of ‘peace’ none the less. You can always tell you’re winning an argument with a liberal (liturgical) when the insults start flying.

And to what, exactly, would you change to make it “what it used to be?”

And when did "the Lord has told His Church how to Worship?"

I do not think that any reasonable Church minister would suggest that timing a Mass for the distribution of communion and then leaving would be appropriate. Would you?

Also, nursing home visits are done because the individual cannot assist due to sickness or infirmity of age, hardly the same thing. But, I know that you knew that!🙂

Typical liberal excuse!.
What does political name-calling have to do with anything? FYI - I for one would never forgo Mass or even speak against it if things changed as you mentioned. The reality is greater than my feelings. Humble obedience is more important than pushing what I want.
