The one thing I have learned through this. Creationists are incapable of being scientific.
We start with data, an observation, that is where science stops. What kicks in after that is how that data, that observation is interpreted. That is not science that is opinion. We are full up with seriously bad opinion pretending to be science, such as the origin of fossil fuels, which I have already elaborated on. There was the opinion put forward that three distinct human beings exist, based on color of your skin, one from the gorilla one from the orangutan, one from the monkey. There was the opinion put forward that Australian aborigines were a sub-human species.
On and on our proud scientific community pretends to have scientific answers to scientific observations.

Okay, so technically, they aren’t dinosaurs, they are pterosaurs , but if pterodactyls hadn’t become extinct, we probably wouldn’t be opening our windows in the morning to hear them sing or anything like that . . .or taking the dog out for a walk. . . .would have to do something about reinforcing that mosquito screen too
Maybe the dinosaurs became extinct so we wouldn’t (although self annihilation by means of war or negative population growth could become increasing threats).
I remember reading a quote from St Augustine which said:
“A hippopotamus is proof that God has a sense of humour.”
