Just want to touch base with all of my friends here on CAF. I know that I’m not around as much as I was and I miss all of you. But I think about you and pray for you.
October 3rd, we began the solemnity of St. Francis with the Transitus. It was a beautiful evening.
Here is a copy of my sermon at the Transitus.
Before anyone is scandalized, in the Franciscan tradition, the superior preaches the sermon for the Transitus by default. He need not be a priest. He also preaches the sermon for the solemn mass on October 4th. I don’t want anyone to be confused.
Fraternal religious orders have such privileges. I think that the Cistercians also have it.
Here is a blow by blow description of the Transitus and what followed. I hope that you find something helpful in these simple actions and words.
As soon as we have the pictures and the film ready, I’ll post a link so you can see. :yup:
May the Good Lord, his Most Blessed Mother and our Holy Father St. Francis walk with you today and always.
PS. Pray for the next generation.
