It’s easy to dismiss Mr. Camping and make crude jokes about him.

But why not spend a little time watching him conduct his TV forum. As a Catholic Christian I do, and I must say that I have learned a lot about my own faith as it is revealed through the Word of God.

That’s not to say that I agree with his predictions, or all his interpretations, but there is certainly no harm in getting better prepared for the Second Coming. And you will soon find out that Mr. Camping is able to teach many of us a lesson in humility to boot. I also think you will agree that nowadays, with a few exceptions, we are hard pressed to find any TV programs that are not directly opposed to our faith’s values.

hello Eldee. welcome to the forums. I have listened to Mr. Camping many times on late night radio when I was a truck driver. I found him highly entertaining. No he does not say much about the Catholic Church that is true. It is true however that he believes the Church age is over. that there is no more Church on earth. His ideas are based on the occultic practice of numerology. It is one of a 100 schemes from 100 different groups. I dont believe these prepare us for the second coming. I believe they are a distraction for what we are to really be doing. As a former Baptist, I used to take stock in prophecy. In fact its easy to become so engrossed in it, that you become no earthly good. When the Vatican comes forth with insights into this field, I will most definitely listen. Until then, I will continue to Love God, Love my neighbor. In word and in deed. I will continue to embrace the Church and all She teaches. I will not be swayed by Camping, Brother Stare, or any other such false prophet. I really cannot take these failed predictions seriously. I do however pray for those that are enamored with their errors, and for those preaching such error. And I humbly thank God, that I was delivered from these kind of end times schemes to better serve with my fellow Brothers and Sisters in the Catholic faith. Peace

I agree. But saying that, I believe that HE really does believe his own teachings. This is what is really sad. He seems like a nice enough person. And probably would be pleasant to conversate with. I say we all pray for him that he can see the light. Wouldnt that be Awesome? Just think if some of these Intelligent Human beings, saw the light, and started working for Christ. I am a convert, but I do not have the knowledge necesarry to effect a change. One or two of these folks though?? Just imagine…

Well, it’s not gonna happen, just as the world’s not gonna end on December 21st., 2012. In fact, a video that’s on Youtube says that the Mayan current calendar ends Christmas Eve this year. And it’s not gonna be the end of the world; it’s just probably the end of a journey from space back to Earth. Or the other way around. Either way, we’ll be here this Christmas and next! And hopefully, many Christmases to come.

I’m sorry, but the few times I’ve actually listened to Mr. Camping radio program I’ve found him to be a proud and arrogant man.

Callers have actually challenged him on the air and asked him to give up his radio program should his predictions prove false. But no, he refuses to admit there’s even the slightest chance that he could be wrong.

Harold Camping wrote a book called 1994 in which he predicted the end of world as occuring on Sept 7 1994. When it didn’t happen he said that God was merciful and that it was a win win situation and that we were to occupy our remaining time in serving God as best we are able to.

                          Harold Camping appears to be a man who makes it up as he goes. If he is still alive after May 21 2011 (I say that because of his age) I imagine he'll act no differently then a man who made a prediction about the Super Bowl and got it wrong.
