harold must be wrong. the army has not issued any warnos to me concerning this event. therefore it must be called, rumor and speculation. if i dont hear it from my sergeant, then it aint true! 😃 i do however, thank harold camping for SHARING!!! lol! 👍

Could this be another of those false prophets and prophecies that Sacred Scripture talks about?

I think it is quite possible that he will be looking for a new line of work in June, 2011.
Or recalculating his predictions, forgot to factor in daylight savings time, leap year, when the moon is in the Seventh House, and Jupiter aligns with Mars… ooops giving away my age now. 😃

He’s made such predictions in the past and it hasn’t stopped him yet. He just reworks his calculations.

Mr. Camping is so silly with this statement. That statement shows that he does not understand the Bible. Jesus said that No One, not even He (Jesus) knows the date or the time, but only Our Heavenly Father. I think if Mr. Camping gave it just a little bit of critical thinking he’d realize that by him claiming that He knows something that not even Jesus Christ knows, he is claiming to be Greater than Jesus Our Lord and Our God. That’s silly.

thats because he has no belief in the world to come. he just wants to make a living selling books about it. 😛 you would think he would look at his own chronilogical age, and think to himself. " gee self. im not getting any younger. maybe i out to rethink my position, and repent. at my age, i could keel over at any moment!" how old is he anyway? like 90 something? peace

a friend at work told me about this guy…said the last time he predicted the end of the world was coming someone asked camping to sign over all campings property to him dated the day after the end…dont think camping agreed to do it…o yea of such little faith…

In the summer of 1994, I looked at Harold Camping’s books “1994” and “Are You Ready?”, I felt scared that the world would end that year. Now, here I am with this Family Radio prediction that May 21st, 2011 will be the end of the world. I feel scared every time I hear about this “end of the world” prediction by Mr. Camping. I used to listen to Family Radio; now I can’t stand it!
By the way, I wonder how Family Radio spent its “last Christmas on Earth” yesterday.

why would you find the world coming to an end frightful? i think the phrase end of the world, has such a negative conotation. the bible never says the end of the world. on the contrary, it talks about all things being made new, at his return. shouldnt this fill you with hope? and if you die before then, no problem. you get ressurected in a glorified body. provided you died in the friendship of God. my only question is…will they have pizza? i really cant live without pizza. i love it. oh, and pit bulls. i really hope they have pit bulls in the world to come. love em. 😛 Peace and prayers for you. i listen to family radio, and also brother stare, just to get a good laugh. 🙂

Thanks, Benedict, for your response. I’m sure that on the day after, everyone who listened to that Bozo Harold Camping will be calling Family Radio and demanding a refund for their donations. And where’s that crackpot Brother Scare when you need him?! 😃

Every year someone predicts that this is the year that’s going to be the end of the world. I never listen to such people. I accept that nobody but God the Father knows when the end of the world will be, so anyone who is not God the Father who claims to know when the world ends is just making some guess that by some strange coincidence could be correct, but is about nine million times more likely to be wrong. Anyway, even if I knew when the world would end, I’d want to focus on trying to be a good person and enjoying life before the end of the world, so I probably wouldn’t change much about my day to day life.

He is still asking for donations on his website. I guess he is planning to take it with him after all.

Harold Camping has billboards all over our area proclaiming Jesus will Come Again on May 21, 2011. Billboards are very expensive advertising, so he must be making a bunch of money off of this prediction.

Seriously, if you *really, really *believed it, why not sell your home, liquidate your retirement, 401K and savings to give it away to the person who made the prediction in hopes that they could get out the message in order that as many people as possible could be saved. 🤷

I just think that there will be many broke and angry people when it doesn’t happen. :tsktsk:

Or God may just come on May 20th, 2011 to catch Harold by surprise! :rotfl:

Harold Camping wrote a book called 1994 in which he predicted the end of world as occuring on Sept 7 1994. When it didn’t happen he said that God was merciful and that it was a win win situation and that we were to occupy our remaining time in serving God as best we are able to.
Harold Camping appears to be a man who makes it up as he goes. If he is still alive after May 21 2011 (I say that because of his age) I imagine he'll act no differently then a man who made a prediction about the Super Bowl and got it wrong.

Now, here I am with this Family Radio prediction that May 21st, 2011 will be the end of the world.
But if the world ends on 5/21/11, I’ll never turn 60! (OTOH my friend Tim will miss out on his ordination as a UU minister, which is scheduled for the 22nd…)

It’s easy to dismiss Mr. Camping and make crude jokes about him.

But why not spend a little time watching him conduct his TV forum. As a Catholic Christian I do, and I must say that I have learned a lot about my own faith as it is revealed through the Word of God.

That’s not to say that I agree with his predictions, or all his interpretations, but there is certainly no harm in getting better prepared for the Second Coming. And you will soon find out that Mr. Camping is able to teach many of us a lesson in humility to boot. I also think you will agree that nowadays, with a few exceptions, we are hard pressed to find any TV programs that are not directly opposed to our faith’s values.
