Harry Browne dies

[Jabronie]

The famous author and 2000 Libertarian presidential canditate passed away. I’m sad because I voted for him in the 2000 election. Prayers to his family.

Harry Browne on Abortion:

Do I believe the states should outlaw abortion? I do not…

In my view, an uncompromising Libertarian position on abortion doesn’t have to offend anyone. Whatever we believe abortion is, we know one thing: government doesn’t work, and it is as incapable of eliminating abortions as it is of eliminating poverty or drugs… To one side we say: we will not let the government impose its way upon you.

The government seems equally unable to prevent child abuse, drunk driving, bank robbery, rape, assassinations, etc. I suggest we should also abolish the laws against these.
