Harry Reid: We’ll shut down government before we shut down Planned Parenthood funding

A coalition of pro-abortion U.S. Senate Democrats led by Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) say they would rather see the federal government shut down than allow cuts to Planned Parenthood’s federal funding.

Currently House Republicans and Senate Democrats are locked in a bitter struggle over passing a Continuing Resolution that would fund the government until the end of the 2011 fiscal year (FY). However, despite the federal government being on track to a $1.6 trillion deficit this year, adding on to an already colossal $14.1 trillion debt, Democrats continue to resist GOP proposals to start off with $61 billion in various cuts. The amount being debated is less than the debt the federal government accumulates in one day of spending.

LDS I know (I work for a family, and work with several LDS members) are ashamed of him.

Like Liberal Catholics in Government offices who support Abortion, the Mormons also have their own who are in apostacy.

Pretty much a bold statement of: I don’t really care about people or the nation as much as I care about my ideology. But his district will vote him in again anyway.

Like I said, the LDS I know are as embarrassed and ashamed of Reid as we are of Pelosi, Biden, Kerry, Sebelius, Kennedys…

Still in error. It should have been. "I, a serious, practicing Catholic woman, am ashamed of Pelosi, Biden, Kerry, Sebelius, and the Kennedys. 🙂

If you think so. I just think it inappropriate to presume to speak on behalf of others unilaterally. I personally wouldn’t say somethng to a group and include, “We, the posters on the CA Forum…” That’s because not everyone on the CAF would agree with me, and not everyone would want me to include them in whatever I was presenting.

Do you or do you not believe in the Catholic Church stance on life.

odd… the thread is about Harry Reid’s stance on baby killing… and you chose to go after another Catholic.
Ideology has trumped your Catholic beliefs… … unless you dont agree that all life is sacred.
