Both selectively read I see.🤷
Yes. From the first word to the last, particularly the Webster’s. The right-wingers might have a hard sell proving that PP is the very same as the Nazis or Pot Pol, but, Hey! let them try.

Why do you derisively call those with whom you disagree on this issue “right-wingers”? Can’t you argue on the facts or do you have to resort to ad hominem? Also, I think there is a difference between the Nazi’s and Pol Pot in that their crimes were laid out for all to see - concentration camps with pits of corpses and Pol Pot’s killing fields with all of the bones. Planned Parenthood, on the other hand, committs its “genocide” under the cover of the law, the privacy of the operating table, the approval of abortion rights people and a complacent, self-centered culture that thinks its all about “my body my choice” and that the unborn are merely, “unplanned pregnancies.” Worst of all, however, is the complancy of christians who should know better than to defend the barbaric practices of abortion mills like Planned Parenthood.

What’s derisive about “right-winger” or “left winger,” for that matter?

"Right-winger is not an ad hominem remark. Reading this thread, opposition to PP appears to be from people who, I think, would identify more with the right than the left. Thus, right-winger.

Fair enough.

A lot of Christians aren’t complacent and support PP.

But that is no justification for supporting PP. Doesn’t PP support the use of artificial birth control, including abortifacient pills, and even abortion? I don;t see how a good Christian can support that, whether he is right wing, left wing, or in between, it is immoral in any case, isn’t it?

Not to some Protestant denominations. A lot of them consider ABC as good husbandry and abortion as a terrible, but justifiable in some cases, solution to a problem.

I follow the Holy Father on this issue. the Holy Father and the Roman Catholic Church have condemned artificial birth control and abortion. I don;t see why Catholics should support these immoral practices as advised by PP. Why should Catholics pay to support an organisation which supports abortion and the use of abortifacient contraceptives?

They kill children Rich. Why do you spew so much venom at those who point that out?

Replying to EstesBob’s remarks, which seem to have disappeared from the thread: I don’t like "over-the-top hyperbole from either side. It diminishes the force and rationality of arguments.

Why is it necessary for you to refer to those who want to defund Planned Parenthood as “right wingers”? Certainly in your case, its meant derogatorily?

So “right winger” is just an innocent word to describe those on this thread who want to defund PP. No derogatory meaning implied?

True, but were it not for the complacency of so many Christians, maybe Planned Parenthood would have a more difficult time killing babies. Thanks for your comments.

Those are not the definition of “right wingers.” A right-winger is one who follows a conservative political philosphy to one degree or another. Not an epithet at all.

BTW, I see nothing wrong about that use. The conservative and more conservative on this Forum often refer to those of us who are liberal as leftists or left-wingers, terms that are no more derogatory than “rightist.”

You’re correct, Sid. Catholics should follow our Pope’s Lead-and not muddy the waters of Our Faith-by quoting what the other tens of thousands of christian denominations practice or defend.

Too many “Catholics” instead of leaving the Faith-to go where others believe like they do-stay and attempt to change the Church. To drag others down with them.

Keep your eyes on our Pope. He is the Fullness of the Truth of Christ.

God Bless you.

Actually the better word to use would be Catholic.😉

Watch Maafa 21 and then try to tell me that the “hyperbole” is in error.
The right-wingers might have a hard sell proving that PP is the very same as the Nazis or Pot Pol, but, Hey! let them try.
Which country pioneered forced sterilization in the 20th century, Germany or the United States of America?

Clearly, you haven’t yet watched Maafa 21 – which convincingly makes the case that Hitler was “profoundly influenced” by American eugenicists Madison Grant and Lothrop Stoddard. Not only that, it points out that American eugenicists routinely praised Hitler’s ideal of racial superiority.

Margaret Sanger appointed Lothrop Stoddard as a board member of the Birth Control League (the forerunner of Planned Parenthood). Stoddard, whose writings on racial subjects were featured in Nazi school textbooks, even met personally with Adolf Hitler.

And, from this link:In 1934 one of Hitler’s staff members wrote to Leon Whitney of the American Eugenics Society and asked in the name of the Fuhrer for a copy of Whitney’s recently published book, The Case for Sterilization. Whitney complied immediately, and shortly thereafter received a personal letter of thanks from Adolf Hitler. In his unpublished autobiography, Whitney reported a conversation he had with Madison Grant about the letter from the Fuhrer. Because he thought Grant might be interested in Hitler’s letter he showed it to him during their next meeting. Grant only smiled, reached for a folder on his desk, and gave Whitney a letter from Hitler to read. In this, Hitler thanked Grant for writing The Passing of the Great Race and said that “the book was his Bible.” Whitney concluded that, following Hitler’s actions, one could believe it.

*(*Margaret Sanger was a member of both the American Eugenics Society and the English Eugenics Society.)
