What does it take for people to become indignant any more? Is the general consensus that “he who gets angry automatically loses any argument” or is unloving? There is a time for moral outrage!
Satan is the enemy. *Enemy. * Taking an ameliorating attitude towards attending “with an open mind” or “to ask questions” is simply the epitome of foolhardiness. It is arrogance towards the reality of the demonic realm and its relation to the heavenly realm. This is a spiritual war, not a fair-grounds chit-chat of religious dialogue. Of course, we love even those who engage in demonic worship, but their activities are simply detestable.
I’d like to know who decided it was uncharitable to detest evil. Violence, abortion, political/social corruption, pedophilia, homosexuality, and demon-worship are among the gravest evils known to humankind.
@OP: this whole thing reminds me of C.S. Lewis’ idea that Satan was aiming to create a state on Earth where humans both practice magic and simultaneously disbelieve in all things supernatural.
