Just to note, this is not something I believe or am having trouble with, but I have seen it around a few places lately and it has been going around in my head.
“God creates a “good” world, and yet one sin wrecks the whole order completely and creates immense suffering, pain, and disorder.
His “eternal” covenant with the Israelites is abandoned.
With Jesus death and resurrection salvation is supposed to come, and yet many still go through hard and miserable lives and still struggle with sin.
The cross signals victory for God over Satan, and yet the Devil is still allowed to prowl around wrecking lives and sending people to hell. Sin still keeps people yoked from birth, and many will end up in hell.
The “perfect world” that God promises always seems around the corner, just close enough that we hope for it, yet far enough away that we never seem to reach it.
The blame is always pointed towards man in traditional Christianity and yet all of this accomplished by an all-powerful and omniscient deity. How can this be just? It seems like a victory for the Devil more than for God.”
What do you say to this?
