It is very encouraging reading each person’s response here.
I’ve been a Christian for a long time, and I became Catholic in 2006. However before that I believe Jesus was indeed reaching out to me through Mary. One night I was praying in bed, sitting up in the dark. I became aware of the presence of a female figure sitting at the foot of my bed. I have had things like this happen before, and they were not always good things! So I prayed and asked God to protect me, and that if this presence was evil to please make it leave. Instead I was given the impression very clearly that this was a holy presence. I wondered if this was Mary. It was a very calm, comforting presence.
About a year ago, I was praying and asking Jesus to forgive me for something. I was just feeling overwhelmed with my sins. Usually I don’t feel afraid to go to Jesus, but this time I did, since I was so aware of my sinfulness. In my living room, as I prayed I knelt down and my face was near the floor. I kept asking Him for mercy. Thn in spirit I saw Jesus’ feet and the bottom of His robe. After a moment I was surprised to see Mary walk up beside Him at His right. I could see the bottom of her robe, it was blue. I think I could see white also on either side of it. I knew it was Mary and immediately my fear was gone. I was so grateful. I didn’t see them with my physical eyes but it was very clear all the same.
When I was a new Christian, about 22 years old, I had a very strong desire to see Jesus. As I have gotten older and hopefully wiser, I don’t ask Him for that anymore. I know if He had given me what I thought I wanted at my younger age, it would have likely blown my life apart and would have also made me prideful.

uch: If He does do things like this it is for a purpose, not just cause we think we want some kind of experience.
