This has been bugging me. I know it’s a big controversy, so, has Russia been consecrated according to the instructions at Fatima or hasn’t it? If not, why not, do you think?
When Mary came Guadalupe, millions were converted in a few years. When Portugal was consecrated (in the 1931) it changed its ways very quickly, and became the only European nation spared from WWII.…Perhaps Russia has been consecrated and we are too pigheaded to accept it for lack of instant results.
Was it ever going to be an overnight thing?
In Christ.
Andre.
Keep in mind that it was atempted twice by Pius XII, once by Paul VI, and twice by JPII. Why is the fifth attempt the one that worked? Clearly the others thought they did it right, but did not. None of the five attempts followed the simple fomula set out by Mary at Fatima.I hope you are right. It’s very disturbing to think that it may not have been done, or that it was only partially done. It seems like it was done “kinda sorta”. I honestly hope it’s enough. The prophecies of what would happen otherwise are scary.
May I add a BIG AMEN to this!Let us pray…
Great and Glorious Father,
you are the font of all blesssings,
you are the font of all truth,
you are the font of all mercy.
Hear the cry of your people …
We beg you, make this silly arguement go away and NEVER come back.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
While it is true that John Paul II consecrated the World to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1984, other popes in the past also consecrated the World to Mary’s immaculate heart.
Mary did not ask for the consecration of the “world” to her immaculate heart. She asked specifically for the consecration of RUSSIA. This quite obviously has not been done.
I’ve read from many different sources that Sister Lucia, prior to 1989, repeatedly denied that the 1984 consecration of the world was sufficient.
It was only in 1989 that certain Vatican officials, such as Bertone, began claiming that Sister Lucia said the 1984 consecration of the world (which made NO mention of Russia, by the way) had been accepted.
Our Lady didn’t promise merely that Communism would fall once the consecration had been done, she said that Russia would BE CONVERTED. Now, in 1917 prior to the Revolution, Russia was ALREADY a Christian eastern orthodox country, so from the context it would seem obvious that what Our Lady predicted was that Russia would be Converted to the CATHOLIC Faith once the consecration had been done. Heck, Russia by and large hasn’t even returned to practicing the Eastern Orthodox faith, let alone the Catholic faith.
