Speaking of double standards, I think this is an excellent video posted by ComeHome2Rome in dealing with textual variations.
It provides concrete confirmation that the collection and composition of the Koran involved more than the private revelations of one man. The divine origins of the Koran involving angels and caves is a mythological account. This is a link to a short video re: the most ancient Arabic Quran in existence today. It was discovered in the 1970s and has been dated based on the art back to a very small window of time- between 705 & 715 ad. The are varing texts written over texts.
The actual history shows the Koran as a document that emerges over time from multiple sources. Even the official Islamic history suggests as much withthe ‘rea’ Koran being sifted from thousands of inauthentic tract— albeit at a much earlier date than the evidence here now suggests was the case.
