Yes and no. I read where ICEL originally worded it “May the spirit of the Lord be with you/And also with you” but they decided to keep the second part (the response) and change the first part to “The Lord be with you” which is actually inconsistent with the angel’s appearing to Mary and saying Dominus Tecum “The Lord IS with you.” (“Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord IS with you.”) There is no subjunctive in the Latin. Maybe the next translation will correct this.I think that these translations are supposed to be a more faithful translation to the Latin. I heard that the translation we have now is a very “loose” translation of the original Latin.
