Have you ever met someone on here whom you knew in real life?

Yep, she was a mom from my daughters brownie troop and also attends our church. I figured it out by her user name but then she got banned from the forum a couple years ago. :o
 
Yes, twice. 🙂 Also, once I accidentally met someone here who I knew in real life.
 
Oops, I think I got it backwards. Once, I met someone on here who I knew in real life…and twice, I met someone in real life after meeting them here…

…hmm…Well, my sister has an account on here…And a friend of mine…I’ve met both in person, but meeting them here was not really an accident
 
There is a person here who knew my adult son before he died in 1997. She put two and two together and realized that I was his mom. It was fun meeting her on-line since she told me that she had spent the day before with my son before he suddenly died the next day.
That was really interesting. I hope to meet her someday in person. She lives in a different state.
 
Just for the record, I haven’t yet. Well, none that I know of, anyway.
 
LRThunder and I know each other. We attend the same parish together and share a mutual enthusiasm for the Traditional Latin Mass and current church events. In fact, I imagine him doing joyful back-flips when he received the news of Bishop Carlson being moved into his new position as shepherd of the Archdiocese of St. Louis!

There was also an old friend from my high school days who wrote to me some time back (he recognized my name), but there has been nothing beyond our initial contact.
 
Yep there are a few friends from college on here and so is my father. I won’t tell you his username because he gets in trouble and i don’t want to be labelled a “trouble-maker” by the mods. 😃
 
I have run into two people I know in real life. One figured out who I was first, posted something really inappropriate, and went “bye-bye”. 😃 I am not sure if the other person realizes that I know and I don’t know if that other person knows who I am. :cool:
 
When I was living in Israel, a woman posted asking about places to attend Mass in English in Jerusalem. After a few posts we figured out that we knew each other. When we saw each other at Mass (in English), we had a good laugh over it.
 
I really WANT to run into a certain someone on here. 😉

once, someone I already knew said something that reminded me of CAF and I flat out asked "hey are you so and so?"
**the other time, someone I’d never met IRL grabbed my sleeve at Wacko-mart and said, “If that’s Rob, and those are all your kids, you’ve GOT to be Rob’s Wife from CAF?!” **

Hey, this would make for a fun game for the Water Cooler… “Who is the certain someone Belgarion want to meet in real life?” You could post clues and we could all guess?!! 😛

No, I can’t figure out whether I know someone IRL or not. There was a poster who used to write often, but doesn’t seem to do so anymore, this person I have read their stuff on other sites, and seems to be someone I’d like to associate with, but seems uninterested or indifferent.
 
Yep once, but I don’t know if they know that I know. Ya know how that goes! :cool:
