Yes I have … but it was nothing I could feel, touch or see. When my son was one month old he was burned accidentally by Fourth of July fireworks. The first 24 hours he was in the burn unit was touch and go. My mom and I spent many hours in prayer that night. When we were allowed in the unit to see my son I “felt” the spirit, the angels, in the hospital. My son had turned the corner, yes he had a ways to go to be healed but he was on the road to coming home. ALL of the nurses told us that the burn unit had been unusually quiet and peaceful that night and that they had felt a “presence” in the unit. When I became a RN I wanted to give back what I had received. I worked for 5 years in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Whenever a baby was dying or not doing well, we all could feel the presence of a “higher power” in the unit … I always felt it was angels.

That is so beautiful.

I applaud you for the type of work you did. When I spent a long time in the hospital for my own health, and my preemie was in the Neo ICU, I watched a little precious flat line right next to him. To see that for 5 years would be very hard I would think.

A lot of disbelief expressed. However, most of the times in the Bible when an angel showed up it wasn’t GOOD NEWS.

There are probably at least one angel per soul. So billions of angels. We know biblically 1/3 of the angels went with the devil and 2/3 stayed with God.

I have never had an angelic experience that I am aware of and maybe thats the way it should be?🙂

Yes, my fiance (who passed recently) has sent me several signs. When he was living, he told me that he would always be my guardian angel. In my religion, we believe all who are in Heaven to be angels, so I guess his contacting me would be considered an angelic experience.

Angels have never had bodies. They have always been spirit. The human spirit was created in the image of God so we could never be angels nor would we want to be once we discover what our spirit really is and live accordingly.

Yes, I have, and I am Catholic. I’m guessing this thread is for the purpose of explaining the Angelic experience we’ve had? Or is it just a poll?

If I remember correctly, Jews believe that each person has an angel and a demon that follow them throughout their life, one recording virtues and the other recording transgressions.
Most Christians believe in it, and as bosnian_muslim pointed out, other faiths believe in it as well. I believe the Psalms have prayers asking God to send His angels to watch over us, so it’s fairly scriptural.

There are some Christians who deny it, but…well, their Guardian Angel loves them any way 🙂
Isn’t it said in eastern Christianity to consider yourself fortunate when having to walk long distances to attend Liturgy since your guardian angel counts every step you make and will give an account at Judgement?

how can anyone who lacks the benefit of your indoctrination be intelligent right

Yankee, really.

There’s a right way and wrong way to do everything. If you want to challenge seemingly supernatural occurences in the lives’ of religious folks, then make another thread.

Coming into this thread for the sole purpose of mocking all the posters answering the OP is just tacky.

Global Awakening the Pentecostal move sees a lot of angelic activity. Within is Gary Oates who sees a lot indeed, and wrote a book called Open MY Eyes Lord.

Catholics are welcome.

Dirk Wilner the Lutheran pastor from Australia sees this too after what many have called a near death experience. Gary had an out of body experience like Ezekiel.

I never saw an angel myself.

Catholics actually believe that angels and humans are two separate species. So I don’t think it would be possible for him to be an angel. But we ARE talking about God here, so, anything he wants is possible. 👍
VERY true. And I also think how they appear to us depends on each person. As a little girl, even though I was lost in that tornado, I would have hid from a strange man who was not wearing a uniform. But I was more at ease with the pretty lady.

I posted on a paranormal thread somewhere about a “ghostly” experience at a hospital. However I felt it may have been an angel.

I was in danger health wise myself, so if I had seen a big guardian angel I may have freaked, thinking God sent an angel in a sweet chariot who was …***“coming to carry me home…” *** But a large grandmotherly type was less fear producing.

I was thinking about all my close calls and on a lighter note…

I’m the type of girl who drives like a NASCAR racer. 😛 Every since my first ride as a toddler on the back of a Classic BMW I have had this need for speed. Even got kicked off a go cart track once! WHY pray tell do go carts run that fast if your not supposed to take them to that speed?

Anyway…I wonder if I ever scare my guardian angels, and if any have ever asked God for a transfer.

I can picture it now, Michael…once again having his formal request for transfer stamped across in bold letters** “DENIED”, ** approaching his fellow angels, hoping that “Today is the day!” He is looking for a trade and willing to make a deal…hehehe

“Greetings brother Malachi, may ask a favor of you on this glorious day?”***

Poor Malachi was caught off guard and did not have the time to make himself disappear. He had been warned about Michael, they all had. The last time Michael tried to dump a human charge, boldly proclaiming “NO Backsies!”, St Peter had to intervene!.

Malachi stammered…*Oh, Hello Michael, I did not see you there, what is the favor you seek?
*

**“Well, I have this charge and …” ** Before Michael could finish his sentence the Angel Malachi interrupted, "What is the name of this charge?"

It was just as he feared, Michael seemed to be avoiding the question.
**
“she is so sweet,” **

**“A female charge? What is her name?” ** malachi thinks to himself…"be calm, don’t let him know your nervous, anyway, with all the humans in the world what are the odds that…

It was a darn good thing that angels cannot sweat.

"you will love her…"

Malachi was a little firmer this time…

"What did you say her name was Michael?"

"and she is sooo sweet…"

“Sweet”, “nice”…uh oh, On earth those words were a sign to others, and often the kiss of death. But this was not the human’s world.

"Her name Michael, WHAT IS HER NAME!!!"

Then he said it, he said that name! The innocent looking blond one who was named after an angel herself but was referred to in whispers as…“she who’s name shall not be spoken!”
**
“Auriel, such a nice angelic name, her name is Auriel” ** Michael said with a dazzling smile.

**"Auriel… AURIEL??? Is your halo on too tight Brother Michael? I wasn’t created yesterday! NO WAY HOSEA!

Look what happened the last time! Poor Angel Patience is still in quite the nervous state after working that shift for your birthday. I’m still finding his feather sheddings all over the heavenly courts!"**

Malachi felt kind of bad when he saw the expression on Michael’s face, his voice gentler as he tried to soften the blow…

"Don’t worry Michael, always remember…Our heavenly father never gives us more than we can bear…"

My sister tells of a traffic incident that she is convinced was avoided because of angelic intervention.

She was in the left turning lane waiting for a gap in oncoming traffic. She was in a hurry and decided to sneak through a narrow gap of oncoming cars. She hit the gas and her car stalled. She said she was frozen in fear with the sick knowledge that she was helpless to avoid being T-boned. She said while her car was still rolling she felt it pushed through the intersection with eneogh force to avoid the inevfitable accident and she looked behind her and saw an old man pushing her car to the curb just beyond the intersection. She steered the car untill the pushing stopped and got out to thank the man for risking his life to save hers but there was no one there or even near. She said the man couldn’t have gotten out of eyesight in the brief moment the pushing stopped and her getting out of the car. She was amazed at what the man had done and wanted to thank him and quite frankly was in awe that anyone would be able to do what he had done let alone do it. But there was no one to thank and no way to explain how a man had gotten to the middle of the intersection so fast and then disappeared in like manner. She believes without doubt it was an angel most likely her guardian angel. She still wonders why the angel would appear as an old man doing something that even an athletic young man probably couldn’t do.

**Have you had an Angelic experience? **

Yes. Caught and married her!

…a devil to live with though!

I’ve never heard that before in my life. It might be a local cultural tradition somewhere and not Church Tradition - or as my priest once said, it’s tradition with a little “T” rather than a capital “T”.

HAHAHAHA! I am not sure if this would earn you points or not if your wife were to read it. 😛

Isn’t there 7 choirs of angels? I’m pretty sure only the 1st is guardian angels. So that would be one heck of a lot of angels. 🙂
