I had an experience but it was much more feeling the presence of the Holy Spirit and of angels than actually seeing anything. It was about a year before I began looking at the Catholic Church. I was praying through the Litany of the Saints and to St. Michael in particular because of an evil presence (that a few people had seen) was oppressing my room mate. He didn’t know I was doing this. Awesome experience.
My mom worked as a nurse. She didn’t work in Intensive Care but she knew several ladies who did. They said they had numerous instances that they couldn’t explain. One example was a mysterious visitor. The nurses had been working with a patient who was at the tail end of his days but was fighting, not ready to die, and going through a lot of pain. One day they noticed a visitor in his room sitting in the chair at his bedside reading him the Bible. They thought it was odd as he had never had a visitor and nobody had seen the man walk in. The room was directly across from the nurses’ desk. That night he was not suffering and was very much at peace. The following day, the man was there again, reading Scripture. Nobody noticed him come in and nobody noticed when he left. That night the man passed away in his sleep. Nurses looked at the register and nobody had signed in to see the man on either day and nobody at all had signed in at either of those times.
Fascinating story.
