Thank you everyone!
Sorry for the late response but my son and I have been sick

I see nothing wrong if a family chooses to have 10 children, or if they didn’t choose it but that happened and they are happy with it. Personally, at this point, I can say my husband and I don’t want that… of course, God’s will be done. Even though I get lots of comments from people, what they think doesn’t bother me. It can get frustrating but that’s all. In terms of parenting 3 under 3 I don’t have any worries. There will be good days and bad but with God’s help we will get through it!
Education, especially university, is very expensive where we live. Already we will have 3 in University at the same time. Not a worry now

and thankfully my husband is the calming force and assures me it will be fine.
To the poster whose mother took years to recover after an unplanned pregnancy… I can honestly say if I were to get pregnant quickly again after this one I don’t know how I would react. I did cry for a week after finding out about this baby. Not crying cause I didn’t want our child, but more overwhelmed and being upset about if NFP just wouldn’t work for us and how are we going to handle the remaining fertile part of our married life. Personally I know that, mentally, I will not be able to handle another quick pregnancy after this one… and I think that’s ok to say. We each know what we can handle and it shouldn’t be held against us.
We don’t believe being open to life means getting pregnant as often as possible. We are living our married life in a way that if God chooses to send us another angel we are open to it, even when He sends them a little faster than we would have chosen for ourselves. But we know that He knows better and accept that with love.
I have gone to a new doctor who, thankfully, is supportive of NFP. My previous doctor, when I went for my first visit with this baby, said “You need to get on BC or you will have another 9 children”. I hold nothing against him, I understand his concerns and reasoning. The new doctor just said “We need to look over your understanding of NFP, maybe make some adjustments to what you are doing to make this work for you”. Explaining how I got pregnant with this one though she even commented “This one was just meant to be”. Being so accustomed to everyone drilling BC at me this was a breath of fresh air and gave me hope! God works in mysterious ways

That one visit made me feel confident again that we can make this work because even though we are open to life we have plenty years again to be open to it! For our sanity, right now, a little break is necessary. Along with these pregnancies there have been a lot of ups and downs within my extended family. A little stability will be nice for a while.
Also, we have never had the chance of “Hey, lets have a baby!”. Personally I would like to (just once!) reach a point where we decide it’s time for another one. I don’t know if anyone can understand that… I know it’s a bit weird. We are very blessed that we haven’t had to try for the angels we have. One day though I’d like to have that conversation with my husband and then, with God’s will, have another. Please no negative comments against that!
Thanks again to everyone for sharing your stories and encouragement!
