Having problems reading

My daughter, who is in first grade, my be held back a year due to problems in reading and math. She was already held back in kindergarten. We think she may have dyslexia. We are working with the school as much as we can, but I think she needs more help then we can give her.
 
You are in my prayers.

If I may suggest, have a qualified ophthalmologist check her out as well in case there is an occult vision problem that may be impacting this as well.

Update: After talking to my daughter’s principal, they have decided that they are not going to hold her back a year. What they are going to do is update her IEP (special ed.) Thank you for all your prayers, with God’s help we will get her past the dyslexia.

…Deo Gratius…I hope that updating her IEP will prove to be all she needs…keeping her in prayer…

Merciful Lord, You created this beloved child out of an intense desire to fulfill Your Divine Plan for man. Graciously lead her parents to the assistance required for proper diagnosis and therapy, so that this wonderful child may not suffer in spirit. Strengthen her parents in fortitude, that they may persevere in their efforts to solve this concern and to lead their daughter back to the path of confidence. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God forever and ever, Amen.
 
Praying for your daughter, and all who suffer from learning disabilities, including my neice, who is autistic. May God Bless them all.

Lord, I pray for these, your blessed children, who need our utmost patience, love, and understanding, so that their special gifts may shine upon us. Lord, we are all beautiful in your eyes, and you have given to each of us a special gift. May we all be given the opportunity to use our unique talents to do Your Will here on earth.
