I wish you could see how cold hearted this man is. I’m not saying this because of what has been going on, I’m saying this because his true colors are showing and he only cares about himself.
Oh, I believe you. That’s why I said, don’t count on showing him what he’s missing. He probably won’t react in the way you want him to. And then you would have even more of a heartache than ever.

Keep consulting with your attorney especially about finances.

Let him go. Get your life in order.

Do not let him dictate to you any longer or try to intimidate you.(my money, my house, my kids). Blah blah blah.

Try to stay calm.

Life will get a whole lot better and you will be content.

Stay close to Christ.

He says we wants 50/50??

No problem! Have your lawyer write it up. He gets 0800h to 2000h each day and you get 2000h to 0800h. That way you can put them to bed at night and feed them breakfast in the morning and he can feed them lunch and dinner, ferry them to and from school, music lessons, athletic programs, library, help them with homework, etc.

Sounds fair to me. What about you?

I have an update…After find out my husband was talking to other women I kicked him out of our home. Almost 1 month later, he came to my home and told me he wants to work things out. I’m going to continue to pray for my marriage… Thank you for everyone’s words of wisdom and prayers.

Get a lawyer and find out where the money is for your kids sake. I know in most states if you file a separation agreement he can’t just take the money out of certain accounts. Track every and save all his correspondence. If only so if things don’t work out he can’t take the money and run.

I have a lawyer and have contacted her about the whole situation. I plan on still filing for legal separation, get court orders and continue to work on our marriage.

Great prayers for your family.

I just wonder how he will react to the court orders since he has now decided that he wants to work things out…I wonder if he will take it the wrong way? Any advice?

What court orders? A restraining order? Use due caution in this situation.

No restraining orders. Court orders regarding our financial situation and other things.

I have to say, this experience has taught me many things and I am applying everything I have learned during this time. God works in mysterious ways and I know for a fact he is working through me and my marriage. My husband has a bad habit of talking to me in a disrespectful, rude and degrading way. I expressed to him how he made me feel, in a tactful manner of course and he told me he is going to work on it. It’s just so frustrating and I feel as though this sets me back! I know I am doing my part, I just wish he would work a bit harder. I know he is trying, I guess I just need to be patient. Tomorrow we are going to discuss conditions that will be put into place in order to move forward in our marriage. I did tell him that if he continues to talk to me the way he does then I cannot move forward.

Good, it sounds as though you are setting good boundaries for yourself and I hope this does help your marriage grow. But do not set your common sense aside. If you feel he is manipulating you and is not being honest, then please do not let your guard down.

I need to establish boundaries in order to move forward. If he does not agree with the conditions then we cannot move forward at all. Right now I’m just a bit confused about a lot of things.

Put up good boundaries and stick to them! I found it was very hard to stick to my boundaries when my boyfriend would meet all of my conditions and even go beyond them! I found him very difficult to resist at that point. And then he would hurt me again. So go forward with all due caution, and don’t let your guard down all the way.

I feel very frustrated. He claims he wants to work things out yet he continues to talk to me in a disrespectful and hurtful manner. I have mentioned this to him and he does not understand how he is talking to me. He thinks he is talking to me in a “nice” way. I was doing better without him in the picture this past month and he suddenly decides a month later he wants to work things out. I am doing my part. Tomorrow we are going to sit down and set the conditions, if he does not agree that I am done and moving on.

Today is the day that I lay out my conditions. Please pray for me and wish me luck!

Unless you have a tangible, permanent reason to believe that he is capable of seeing his own flaws, stand your ground. You control the consequences now, and make him understand that. Be under no illusion that you must remain open to reconciliation if you go through with divorce. You will still be married before God, but sometimes a man must be whipped to his knees before he bothers to look at his own conscience in any meaningful way.

Keep your head up for the sake of the children. Let them know that what they witnessed before was not the way that a Catholic husband treats his family. You cannot be a good parent if you are not a good spouse, period.

And I am the husband in my case. 😊
