Roberta,Greetings
Your post really touched me. I am saddened by what you have gone through in your Parish. I have seen a parish split in the past, not for these same reasons or even similar ones but split it was. It didn’t go so far as to be closed down but there was awful damage done. I was aghast by how unkind folks can be to each other, all being Catholic. It does leave serious wounds and I imagine they can take a long time to heal.
I can understand why you take a strong position, now.
If I have in any way made your life more uncomfortable or have been a stumbling block to you, Spiritually, I do repent of it, apologize and ask your forgiveness.
God knows you have no reason to repent or apologize for anything. You and I, although two ends of the spectrum, are the same. We love our faith and love Our Lord.
I actually am not offended at all by what anyone says on these boards. I know that there are many things about them I will never know. Perhaps I missed many of their posts and only see a snapshot or perhaps they have lived through something I can never understand.
I do admire you, Lady. You, like many here, take a strong stand for what you believe, but unlike many here do not go to personal insult to make that point.
We can agree to disagree. And actually, we are not so far apart. Maybe one day, in every parish, the Charistmatic Mass will be at one time and the traditional mass will be at another. When everyone will be happy. And I can visit yours while you visit mine.
Although it might be better if we talk in the meeting place between masses.
God Bless you, Lady!
