If you did not go to the ER voluntarily it would not be theft.
So I’m a thief, got it. OK, I think I’m done speaking with you on a fairly permanent basis. You would ask me to commit suicide, for it is suicide to know that there is help and simply sit there and die. That is as good as slitting your wrists.

I have been in several situations where I knew the boss and employee in such a situation such as at a restaurant we frequent. it is amazing how you see employees goofing off, not being responsible, etc. and they are totally oblivious to what they are doing. It is amazing hearing the stories when told from the manager’s and employee’s and other employees’ perspectives.
I actually trust what you say about the restaurant you go to. But Iv’e seen Walmart from the inside. Their ideas about business on the store management level is inverted comapred to the way you and I would have it be. The reason my store survives despite aweful customer service is because they get the crowd that is over qualified to be on the Jerry Springer show. I know no other way to put it… You judge things as if they are in a sterile static envirmant. A results in b. Most of human life is a dynamic envirment where everything has extrenuating circumstances… If I rob a bank I deserve prison. If I rob a bank because someone had my family hostage and a gun to my head with sharp shooters all around ready to kill me, I had better not be going to jail for that. You have to get out of your static way of thinking because you live in a dynamic world.

What you are refering to is the degree of punishment for a crime, not the definition of a crime. In your proposed scenario the person who robs the bank still commits a crime. The motive does not change the fact but it can be a consideration in sentencing and may even result in the avoidance of a conviction. You may also find that the bank would not even press charges.

Also in an extreme situation you may invoke the concept of reasonable presumption of tollerance. (back to my fire extinguisher exmple)

Regardless, there are very simple primary rules that can be applied accross the board.

Sorry you feel that way and sorry you do not see the diference between accepting things as they are and sommitting a concious and deliberate effort to kill ones self.

OK , seeing you seem to have an answer to everything under the sun. What would you do if you were Pathia?

Dress up as an average member of gender x and go looking for a full time job. then a better job and then so on. Then work my but off to repay my debts. All the while being thankful for every breath I am given.

Of course that is what I would do regardless of who’s situation I was in.

I was expecting similer to what you stated. You have very little understanding of psychology, and no compassion. To do that is impossible now anyway.Trying to live as that gender you think is proper caused her 10 suicide attempts in her life. You say be thankful for living but do not practice what you preach. Instead of compalining about how your tax money is spent, be thankful that YOU are alive!

Is that a threat?

I never said what gender I think is “proper” and don’t try to blame me for her suicide attempts.

I am very thankful for my life and the blessings in my life. It is possible to be appreciative for what one has and also speak out in defense for what is right.

Threat of what? I or anyone else never said we were going to do anything. You said dress as apropriate gender, in which case that and proper are plenty interchangeble. If you appreciated your life , you wouldn’t complain all that you have about how YOUR tax money is spent.

Wrong, it would be assumed that the owner of the assett would be willing to loan it to a person in such a situation, since the person made an offer to pay for the assett at the first available opportunity, there is no criminal activity.

Have you considered that there was another reason the person was fired?
From my observations incidences like the one described are not enough alone to get anyone fired, much less a good employee. Those incidences are usually used as an excuse to get rid of trouble makers.

I can’t work full time, we’ve discussed this. I cannot stand up for more than 30minutes at time, I cannot walk up stairs. The pain medications I have to take just to get out of bed prohibit me from using any heavy machinery. I can’t even type as fast as I used to, I use the onscreen keyboard with word prediction on bad days. This is why I work from home as a contractor.

Most of the time I was fired for being odd gender wise, it was not the management that caused it to happen. The other workers at my position would often refuse to speak with me, touch me, touch things I touched. They said I was touched by demons and that interacting with me would ‘infect’ them.

Management would let me go not because they were upset with me, but because so many others were. It was a choice between firing me, or firing half their workers.

Have you ever consulted a lawyer about this?

That or they got fired for other things and blamed it on the incident hoping it would draw sympathy.

Says who? Being willing to protect what you’ve earned is a key part of being grateful.
It’s not just what you have earned but what has been entrusted to you.

Now take what has been said and apply it in other relevant situations: Imagine going up to the employee at a bank who has been entrusted with the management of the banks assetts and telling them “if you appreciate your life, give me the money”

Some will not immediately see the situation. but there are those here who are demanding we give them the resources God has entrusted to us and when we object there response is that if we appreciate out lives we better do it.

The proceding question is what would I do in your situation not what you would do.

News flash I have aches and pains also. I just take pain killers and deal with it.

News flash, some aches and pains are worse than others. News flash different people are able to handle pain differently. Everytime Ive had a kidneystone attack I drove myself to the hospital myself. My macho tough guy dad was taken to the hospital by ambulence for his one kidnestone. Bet you wouldn’t have such a cavalier attitude twards pain if you sudden got debilitated by severe pain or woke up to your spouse screeming in the middle of the night from arthraitis pain in the back radiating through the psiatic nerve. I actually handle pain comaritively well to most, but will never put someone down for not being as good at handling it as me.
