Has anyone ever prayed for something, and then felt a very peaceful and happy feeling afterwords where it felt like God was telling you the answer? Did that answer eventually come true?

I’d be cautious about mistaking warm-fuzzies as a reply from God: it could just be your own wishful thinking. (Even if the “answer comes true”—sounds like you’re wishing on a star 🤷—that doesn’t necessarily mean the warm-fuzzies were from God.)

Oh boy where do I even begin? I could be having a bad day, and out of nowhere while in the middle of prayer I get that split second moment of sudden joy, and warmth.

Yes.
In my case, this has generally come in the form of suddenly hearing a hymn from out of the blue or seeing something, some form of confirmation that God is in charge of the situation where I was not expecting to find it.

I wouldn’t term what I feel as “warm fuzzies” but rather, a deep and abiding peace that whatever may happen, in the end, God is with me and it will be all right.

One of the most striking examples I can give is last summer. Without going into detail, I was terrified over something that was happening in my life. The future did not bode well. I went to the near-by church, knelt before the hidden Jesus and prayed and wept.
As I sat up, I heard the bells in the tower playing,
“I am the bread of life”.
If you know that hymn, you know that it ends with the words,
“I will raise you up at the last day”
Being reminded of that promise, I felt at peace.

I heard it. My husband heard it. Funny thing is as we found out later;
the church is only allowed to ring the bell before masses, nothing more. They USED to play tunes years ago but had to stop when a pack of non-Christians came into the area and complained bitterly over having to hear the bells playing.
So they have not played tunes in the tower since.
Oh, and on that day, no one at the church office heard what we had heard.

So yes, it is possible to feel peace pouring over you and to know that God has heard you.
Hope this helps.

My ear is open. 🙂
Exactly. The sentiment I found one day in Flannery O’Connor (below) and the one I blog to:

“His second night in Talkingham, Hazel Motes walked along down town close to the store fronts but not looking in them. The black sky was underpinned with long silver streaks that looked like scaffolding and depth on depth behind it were thousands of stars that seemed to be moving very slowly as if they were about some vast construction work that involved the whole order of the universe and would take all of time to complete. No one was paying attention to the sky.”

This warm fuzzy feeling happens to me a lot. It feels like God. I’m not going to say it’s my wishful thinking, because I don’t believe that our thoughts are our own. I have feelings that come from the devil also. I know he wants me to think it’s me. God bless you Derek Jeter:thumbsup:👍👍

Spoken like a true Yankee fan…

I’ve heard the voice of God(all three at different times) and Mary and saints. I can’t say I get the “warm fuzzies” with it. Sometimes it isn’t even all that peaceful because my own nature doesn’t want to let go of what they are telling me to let go of. I do know that it is “right”.

I guess the question becomes: how does one feel when God answers, but not the answer you wanted?

I’ve certainly had warm feelings in adoration, especially when feeling down and not seeking any particular answer, just a sense that God was at my side. It happens mostly in adoration, and it helps me scrape myself off the floor to keep going.

But I have also brought a personal dilemma to him once asking for an answer. I didn’t get the answer I wanted, but in retrospect, after my initial disappointment and yes, some anger towards Him, I got the answer I needed. He also has a different sense of timing than we do. I had one cri de coeur prayer made as a child, answered in a most wonderful way, but about 41 years after asking it. As it happened, He answered at a time I needed the lift the answer provided.

Sorry I can’t be more detailed than that, as I don’t like to divulge private stuff on-line.
