We just don’t know.

It is a “place” because those there have bodies.

But it is not a place that can be seen, found or travelled to as we understand it, by transporting our normal human bodies. Life Everlasting requires a change of life, and therefore body.

You don’t even have some possible theories?

You don’t even have some possible theories?
You will find out when you get there 😇

Better to worry about today and its challenges, as Our Lord Jesus said. He said dont worry about tomorrow, today’s challenges are enough.

And start to discern things. Ie its pagan, so forgetabout it type stuff.

Really , do you care about what a pagan says? Or your Priest? Who is going to bring you closer to God, and Heaven?

I’m now more wondering where heaven is.

I asked my priest in email if using the terminology of “another realm” is something Catholics can and do use or is it a pagan terminology?
Catholics use the term realm. Though we have a fuller understanding due to Divine Revelation.
In order to comprehend the relationship, in the Church, the relation between her visible reality and the spiritual realm, there is no other way than to look to Christ, whose body is constituted by the Church and who generates her, in an act of infinite love.

I’m now more wondering where heaven is.
I found the concepts Pope St John Paul II offered during a series of General audiences as currently intellectually satisfying.

In my limited understanding, since the dead now are in an unusual state prior to the general resurrection; where all bodies with be re-united with spirit - it seems more applicable to view as a state than a physical place. The only physical glorified bodies in Heaven {to my understanding} is Jesus’ and Marys.

Yes, so how can Mary and Jesus’ bodies be there if it’s not a physical place?

For this, I cannot answer.

There are some paradoxes I have come to wonder if they remain to test our faith. Not for God’s sake; since he knows all - but for our sake. Do we believe yet lack strong faith? 🤷

How about the theories in the link in post #22?

The link offered to the so-called remnantreport seemed a series of disjointed ideas that were not very satisfying, IMO. Unless, a sci-fi movie script could be adapted from it. 🤷

Disjointed or not, at least they are ideas. So far, nobody has been able to make sense of the fact that Mary and Jesus are in heaven and where that is…

Thomastic thought has the location of Jesus and Mary beyond the known physical universe. (ST III, Q.57, A.4, Ad 2)

Divine Revelation has not revealed this to us.

Divine Revelation hasn’t revealed what? That thomistic thought has the location of Jesus and Mary beyond the known physical universe or where that specifically is?

Divine Revelation has not revealed where the glorified bodies of Jesus and Mary are located. We can ponder but the answer will lead to more questions. We know Jesus and Mary exist in Heaven but Heaven is not a place where we can currently fully comprehend.

I would think a physical place will exist after the general resurrection. Once this world passes and revelation is complete. Or at least some will have an understanding of Heaven. Those in Hell will eternally be in the dark about Heaven.

I agree up to a point. I do agree a physical place will exist after the general resurrection BUT in the meantime, Jesus and Mary have to be SOMEWHERE.

Perhaps the clue is that their bodies are glorified and heaven is a glorified place?

I can’t begin to imagine what Hell is like.

Contrary to what many believe, I don’t think its a fiery place and I don’t think people are on fire there. I think it is a dark, cold and fearful place where each passing day (or sequence…not sure there is time there.) Ther is a horrible feeling of despair and sadness.

You really…really do not want to end up there
