Carrie: Your post gave me quite the chuckle, thanks!
Bataar: I sometimes forget what people on the opposite end of the spectrum go through. I have the opposite problem with cars, when I went to buy my first car, there were many I wanted to test drive but even with a chair cushion on the seat, I couldn’t see. I have a Civic, and to drive it I have to have 4 in pedal extendes, the seat put as high as it goes, and a cushion to drive it. It does make me grateful that it tends to be easier to modify things for shorter people than taller people when it comes to vehicles. I know my boyfriend had the same problem when it came to vehicles that you did.
The reaching thing is also a sensitive issue for us short people. When I go grocery shopping I climb the shelves all the time, if they don’t want me to do it, they shouldn’t put it out of my reach.

I hate when I have to ask total strangers to reach stuff for me. I was in a college cafeteria and wanted to take an ice cream come to go, but they had them out of my reach. I ended up having to ask a total stranger to hand me one which was very awkward. I always feel bad when I have to do it, but unfortunately I don’t always have a lot of options.
