The Intensity of it’s Fire

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: “When Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said,
‘Your ordinary fire is one of the 70 potions of the Hellfire,’ someone commented, ‘O Messenger of Allah, would it (ordinary fire) not be sufficient (to burn the wrongdoers)?’ At that, Allah’s Messenger (pbuh) said, ‘The Hellfire has 69 more portions than ordinary (worldly) fire, and all of them are as hot as this (worldly fire).’”

“Verily, Allah has cursed the disbelievers and prepared for them a Blazing Fire. Dwelling therein forever, and they will find no protector or helper.”

“But he who is given his record behind his back will soon cry for destruction, and he will enter a blazing Fire.”

“No, they deny the Hour (of the judgment to come), but We have prepared a blazing fire for such as deny the Hour. When it sees them from a far off place, they will hear its fury and its raging sigh. And when they are cast, bound, in chains, into constricted place therein, they will plead therein for destruction. Do not plead today for a single destruction; plead for destruction oft-repeated.”

“Their abode will be Hell. Every time it abates. We will increase for them the blaze (the fierceness) of the fire.”

“Those are the ones, who have exchanged the Hereafter for the gains of this worldly life. The punishment will not be lightened for them, and they will not be aided.”

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
“The most favored man among the dwellers of the Earth will be brought from among the people of the Fire on the Day of Resurrection. He will be dyed in the Fire but once, and then it will be said to him, ‘O son of Adam, have you ever seen good at all? Has any pleasure ever come to you?’ He will say, ‘No, by Allah, O Lord.’ Then the most miserable people in the world will be brought from the people of Paradise and will be dyed with the dye of Paradise. It will be said to him, ‘O son of Adam, have you ever seen any misery, and has any hardship ever come to you? ‘ He will say, ‘No, by Allah, O my Lord. No misery ever came to me, nor did I see any hardship.’”

The Shade of Hell

The Sparks of it’s Fire

Indeed, it throws about sparks [as huge] as a palace, as if they were yellow camels.”

So therefore, why are you in a topic in which a Muslim is explaining to us what Hell is about in the Islamic faith?

Catechism of the Catholic Church 1033:

We cannot be united with God unless we freely choose to love him. But we cannot love God if we sin gravely against him, against our neighbor or against ourselves: “He who does not love remains in death. Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.” Our Lord warns us that we shall be separated from him if we fail to meet the serious needs of the poor and the little ones who are his brethren. To die in mortal sin without repenting and accepting God’s merciful love means remaining separated from him for ever by our own free choice. This state of definitive self-exclusion from communion with God and the blessed is called “hell.”

Lucia Santos: Fatima, In Lucia’s Own Words, The Ravengate Press, Still River Massachusetts (1995), p104:

“Our Lady showed us a great sea of fire which seemed to be under the earth. Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form, like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, floating about in the conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames that issued from within themselves together with great clouds of smoke, now falling back on every side like sparks in a huge fire, without weight or equilibrium, and amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fear. The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repulsive likeness to frightful and unknown animals, all black and transparent.”

Such private revelation, however, is not dogmatic, and does not represent a definitive Catholic viewpoint.

It is much better that the Qur’an itself answer your question.

“Surely, those who disbelieve and did wrong; God will not forgive them, nor will He guide them to any way except the way of Hell, to dwell therein forever.” (Quran 4:168-169)

“Surely, God has cursed the disbelievers, and has prepared for them a flaming Fire wherein they will abide for ever.” (Quran 33:64)

“And whosoever disobeys God and His Messenger, then surely, for him is the fire of Hell, he shall dwell therein forever.” (Quran 72:23)

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the Seal of the Prophets and knowingly disobeying him is a rejection of faith and is therefore a sin.

Sins or mistakes? … It really does not matter very much and you are free to call it whatever you wish.

In Islam, there are various categories of sin, depending on their nature and the intent of the wrongdoer when committing these sins whether they be major or minor.

The point here is that in the eyes of the Creator, the creation who commits major sins and then sincerely repents and asks forgiveness from Allah is far more deserving of His mercy than another creation who may have commited only a minor sin but who then does not repent or regret his actions.

God is not violent. He is a **merciful **God, but also a Just God. There will be judgment day and all who do not believe in Christ, even when they are told about him and still reject him will suffer the consequences.

Suppose you have been informed that a big earthquake has occured off the coast and a tsunami warning has just been issued by the authorities.

Would you then warn the people who are strolling on the beach to clear the area… or… would you dismiss the tsunami warning as probably a false alarm and allow the people to enjoy their day on the beach?

There is only so much warning that we can give people because we too need to leave the beach in a hurry especially when we see the tell-tale signs that a tsunami is indeed coming.

Jahannam:
“Truly Jahannam (the Hellfire) is lying in wait.”

Latha:
“By no means! For it is Latha (the fire of Hell) burning away right to the skull.”

Al-Hutamah: (Crusher which Smashes or Breaks to Pieces):
“By no means! He will certainly be thrown into al-Hutamah. And what will make you understand what al-Hutamah is? It is the fire of Allah, kindled to a blaze, which mounts right to the hearts.”
[al Humazah, 104: 4-7]

Sa’eer (the Burning Fire):
**“…a group in Paradise and a group in Sa’eer.” **
[ash-Shura, 42: 7]

Saqar:

“Those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, ‘Pray to your Lord to lighten for us the penalty for a day (at least).’ They will say, ‘Did there not come to you your messengers with clear signs?’ They will say, ‘Yes.’ They will reply, ‘Then pray as you like. Then I saw ‘Isa, a man of medium height, of moderate complexion inclined to the red and white colors, and of lank hair. I also saw Malik, the gatekeeper of the Hellfire.’”

What do you call it? I want a Muslim’s answer. Disobeying God is a sin or a mistake? What do you say as a Muslim?

And if you call it a mistake, my next question is this: To err is human and therefore mistakes should not lead you into hell, should they?

I fail to see the difference between your god and Allah. You don’t believe, you suffer, and that is most merciful.

When you don’t believe, you reject God’s mercy. And when you reject God’s mercy, you yourself ask for suffering.

If your father offers you food and you don’t accept it, he won’t ram it down your throat. But rejection of the food will lead to starvation and ultimately, death. It’s said that you can bring a horse to the water but you cannot make it drink the water. Similarly, God gives us a free will. It is up to us to accept his mercy by believing or reject his mercy by disbelieving. Hope that helps.

Dear hamba,a simple question please try to answer with yes or no.In islamic view point will all non muslim people go to hell and will stay there forever?not from other muslim fellow i want answer just from my brother/sister hamba2han(if he/she want to answer me).because i know islamic theory(about hell or heaven)but some muslim friend deny it.so please hamba reply me if you do not have any problem.your answer will be enough i guess.bless you.
