Pope Benedict warns of the existance of Hell and its eternal pain.
Some talking heads will criticize the Pope as medieval in his reminder; others will scoff; still others will deny; some will even attack the Holy Father as mean-spirited.
In actuality, the Pope sends this message out to the world as an act of charity. It has been a long while since that four-letter word is mentioned from many pulpits.
We fear …" God and the loss of Heaven…" as we recite this in our Act of Confession, we also say, “…and dread the pains of Hell…” These words are the wake up call to those who ponder/meditate on the prayer.
But the world at large will misinterpret and renounce the Holy Father. It’s the condition of the world today.
