Uh-Oh! Do I sense love connection here? 😃

Thanks for raising such a holy, devout, catholic son! God bless you and Mary keep you!

hey this IS the internet!
Yep…not a better place to meet! 😉 Just nonchalantly bring your son by this thread and…

BTW: My husband and I meet in a computer lab…does that count? If it does…we have an awesome marriage. 👍

Computers being the new source of romance…who would have thunk it!!! Nothing like dining by the light of a computer screen! 😃

dates are NOT the problem…he has had and continues to have many…the scarsity of women who take the Faith seriously is the problem…

I figured he was well sought after. His personality, even without the faith, sounds like every woman’s dream. But, the faith is very important. I pray that he will find a true soulmate. 🙂

thank you convert 99! yes he does have a great personality, but the Faith is THE most important thing…without it, a true Catholic marriage cannot exist…his pleasing persona has been formed by the grace coming from the Sacraments of his Father in heaven…his good looks he gets from his father on earth!
bless you!

I’m going to let out a little secret of where the boys are. Literally MILLIONS of them, crammed into one little spot, every year. In general, they’re a professional, rich, nice looking, fit, focused, family-oriented and a faithful bunch.

There’s literally NO competition, as the only female attendees are either the married attendee’s wives or underage daughters.

It’s a little event put on by the Experimental Aircraft Association in Oshkosh, WI called Airventure, or simply Oshkosh, and it happens July 23rd through July 29th.

The numerous local Catholic Churches in the area are PACKED beyond capacity, as is everything else. If you can’t find a really neat guy at Oshkosh, you don’t have a pulse.

Now, pilots are a different breed of cat. In addition to being very handsome, intelligent, rich, funny, witty, cool, calm and collected, some tend to be just a little full of themselves. Most pilots I know, would/could never have cheat on their wives or girlfriends, as that would divert resources from their airplane(s). Most importantly, there isn’t a pilot alive, who hasn’t been up close and personal with God. It’s funny, but the pilots I know, tend to take their faith in God, very, very seriously.

I’m not kidding about Oshkosh…it’s a goldmine.

Just a word about Internet relationships: having met on the Internet and sharing a computer/Internet passion is one thing. Reconciling the Internet life and the real one is sometimes a problem. Online friends and couples may find themselves at different stages online and offline, sometimes not even both at the same stage. You need the real contact and even if you can manage doesn’t mean the other person can. There are just some things you don’t know, don’t see, can’t feel.

I strongly suggest you go to college. For you! Not to find a husband.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but men these days just don’t want a stay at home wife.

Any guy you meet will run at top speed in the opposite direction if you mention wanting to be a stay at home wife or mom.

Men want an equal partner in their marriage. This includes equal financial support and equal family duties.

The days of Ozzie and Harriet are long gone.

In my experience in the world; you are lowering your standards by not being the best you can be.

College is a very valuable experience. You see the big picture of the world. You learn how to think differently. You meet people you never will otherwise. It expands your horizons and will prepare you for the future.

Kids today need parents who know what is going on in the world, in order to help guide them through it.
As a single Catholic fellow myself, I think this advice is very good. It is essential these days to get a good education, and both parents need one.

In any case, pray and wait patiently and God will send you a Godly husband who is right for you, at the right time.

When you get out of high school be sure to do something with your time. It doesn’t necessarily have to be college, though even some courses at a community college might do you some good. Maybe there’s some kind of volunteer work you could do or a job you could get or even some kind of vocational training (like learning a trade or skill, especially if you could use it from home).

Also, as a young Catholic man, I am far from alone in the decision to wait until I graduate from college to get married, if I even do get married.

That being said, I would recommend attending daily Mass at a church which is very near to a local college campus. A group of college guys shouldn’t be too hard to pick out there and you might find an opportunity to introduce yourself after Mass one day. And, as I hinted at in my first paragraph, it would be a great idea to have some occupation about which you could tell any young men you may meet about. Trust me, most of us will be much more easily interested in a woman who is active in her community on some level than by one who is not.

And as you well know, patience and prayer will always be your best bets in all of this. Hope that helped!

Can you find me one:blush: ? 40-45. Pre-owned is no problem. I am not too far from Oshkosh:thumbsup: .

My Dad says I am too strong-willed and opinionated for most men, I say - Thanks Dad, How do you think I got that way?😃

Babe, if you can’t find a guy at Oshkosh during the fly-in, you don’t have a pulse. It is wall to wall, edge to edge males.

All you’ve gotta do is pick the type you’re looking for and hang around the appropriate areas. You’ve got experimentals, war-birds, antiques, amphibians, sport-pilots, aerobatics, vintage or ultra-lights.

Might I suggest a dab of 100 octane av-gas or Jet-A behind the ears…
