One of the best “gifts” I ever gave DH was to have his car detailed (not the engine). It cost $135 – but they didn’t do anything I couldn’t have done myself.

I’ll bet you could spend less than $20 at Auto Zone to buy cleaning stuff for the dashboard and upholstery and spend maybe 2 hours working 'er over to make 'er look like new. Put a big red bow on the steering wheel and the Dash Duster under the tree.

I did that for my wife once, did it myself. To properly wash, wax, and clean a minivan takes 8 hours (that includes waxing the body work inside when you open the doors, steam cleaning carpet as necessary, armor alling all plastic to get all dust off, and window cleaning, sticker removal, and chicken nuggets under the car seat removal)! Many women love that kind of present, too

But if he’s into video games, look on Ebay. You’ll find a lot of great deals there and books that you might look long and hard for (especially for classic games) in the stores.

Yeah I keep reading such a good advice and yeah it does sound pretty good…I bet any hubby would love that one!

The gamestop is on their website as well as in the stores. Not sure what the shipping is from the website though.

Good fairly cheap husband gifts:

1. Leatherman or knock off, if he doesn’t have one.

Don’t get cheap knock-off–it just isn’t worth in. These can be pricey but the Leatherman Juice S2 is very practical and a “guy thing.” About $45 on Amazon. If this is too much, try a Squirt S4which can fit on a keychain and sells for about $25. Both are guarenteed for 25 years. The knock-offs are not.

Well mine’s only interests are video games and guitars which I can’t afford a guitar and video games are expensive not sure what I would get him then…

But for the OP I think some of our dear CAF members have given really good advice…and suggestions! Thank you for sharing them…

Get him a subscription to a gamer magazine Game Informer is an awesome one that I subscribe to.

You can do the same with a guitar aficionado magazine - just ask someone at your local music store what a good magazine would be.

Any magazines are pretty good. I get my hubby the state conservation digest put out by our game/fish/and parks departmetn. Lots of recipes, neat areas to hunt or camp and lots of information about the flora and fauna.
