Perhaps I should clear some things up. First of all you saying that being to mass"only" 2 or 3 times means nothing, well it meant something to me and I think that whether you are a cradle Catholic, new Catholic, or not even Catholic, mass should have true meaning and you should feel something each and every time you go. Also. I’ve been to A LOT of internet sites and talked to my Catholic friends about the faith. Trust me I’m not taking this as a light matter! I have so much literature on the Catholic faith! One day I took my notebook of all the articles and such that I had printed of the computer to a Catholic friend of mine. We talked and I was revealing things to her that SHE AS A CATHOLIC did not know and I asked questions that she did not know. She even commented that I was more Catholic than her. Please have faith in me that I am not taking this matter lightly, AT ALL. I realize that this is to be taken very seriously. I am planning on getting a Catechism.THANKS ~~~crazy4horses
I think what he was trying to say is-try not to rely too much on your feelings. Look at the Church’s teachings and theology and make sure you agree with that before you go convet.
It seems you have been doing a very good job of this, though, and I applaud you

. I agree the Mass is powerful. My friend went once, and he is hooked.

For “liesurely” reading, look up the various Miracles- Eucharistic, miracles in the lives of the saints (may I suggest St. Padre Pio). I also enjoy conversion stories personally-

If you read ONE conversion story, read the Scott Hahn’s.
One last thing for prayers for the dead- Our Lord told St. Gertrude the Great (sp) that this prayer would realize a thousand souls everytime it was prayed-
Eternal Father, I offer Thee the most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church, Those in my own home and within my family. Amen.
Pieta prayer book-some awesome prayers-over here

Do not stray from that page! The site, from what I hear, is rather dissentful, though the prayer book is not and is an awesome tool.
