2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God’s will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord’s Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

Show love and compassion towards this person, but avoid situations that may sanction their lifestyle.
 
We had a visiting priest Sunday and, relating to Sunday’s Gospel reading, he spoke of relationships and marriage. What really stuck out in his homily was when he stated that love is not a “feeling”, that feelings come and go - not so with pure love. It sounds like this girl is acting on feelings, not love, and yes, is a very confused person. In the secular world, all too often people act on feelings and never consider the consequences. I’ve done it in the past only to be very sorry and depressed later when my marriage of twenty years failed. The blessing is our son, now thirty!
