May the peace of the Lord be with you. Thank you for sharing a very personal part of your life with us. Your sharing may be of help to another person suffering the same experience so please keep sharing and giving hope. I dont have an answer for what you are suffering nor anymore advice. My prayer intention will be for you to continue seeking and forging thru this with plenty assurance that Our Father will never abandon you.

Here is how I solved most of my problems when I was recently converted.

I prayed a Third of a Rosary everyday (Joyful, Sorrowful or Glorious, depending on the day).
Then, after every Third, I prayed the Litany of the Blessed Virgin.

Gradually I started praying the Litany of Saint Joseph as well.

Carry your cross with God in your heart. Trust him.

Holy water??? Surely this is a case for mental health intervention.

I am guessing that spiritual attack means temptation to sin. We have limited control of our temptations in that we may avoid some occassion of sin. Temptations are trials and we will have trials.

Two dogmas of faith:
  • There is a supernatural intervention of God in the faculties of the soul, which precedes the free act of the will. p. 226 FCD (Antecedent Grace)
  • There is a supernatural influence of God in the faculties of the soul which coincides in time with man’s free act of will. p. 227 FCD (Consequent Grace)
FCD. Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma, Ludwig Ott.

It is good that you are going to ask your confessor to reach out to others of authority to help. You can reach out to the bishop or the vicar general in your diocese and ask them to put you in touch with the exorcist for your diocese or the exorcist in the diocese closest to you.

I also recommend speaking to a good Catholic therapist.

The sacraments and your prayers ARE working. God has not abandoned you. Sometimes God allows people to be tormented for the good of their soul. Remember that the ultimate goal is HEAVEN, not freedom from earthly suffering. I will pray for you and for those who are helping you. Do not despair.

Are you certain that these are demons?

Have you mentioned these demons to your pastor?

Why are you so sure this is a spiritual problem and not a mental one? Have you talked to psychiatrist?

YES! They are demons. I have been assaulted more times than I can remember. It is not quite so bad now. I live in a haunted house. They follow me everywhere but the Confessional when the Priest is present.

This is by no means an insult, but frankly, you sound mentally ill. I think you might need to consider psychiatric help.

Have you mentioned this to your pastor? Has he seen any of the activity?

Has he blessed your house?

Your priest should forward this matter to the bishop, because you may require a Rite of Exorcism.

No, the parish priest is the first line of defense here. He discerns what’s going on and decides if the Diocesan Exorcist is nessecary.

The sacraments are working; it’s just you that isn’t working.

That’s rather disingenuous… Do you personally know the OP and their situation? If they’re ‘not working’, why are they posting here?

caritas supra omnina

Do the sacraments really not work sometimes? Come on.
