Got it.😉 ((And, no don’t stop praying for someone…even someone you are trying to break off an emotional attachment to.)) Your username will last you a long time, though–you might not be confused for much longer.😃

Ok…back to the topic at hand.🙂
Thanks, lol.

I am a non-catholic married to a catholic. I am so very thankful that my dh was open to marring me. I cannot imagine being married to anyone else. We have 2 beautiful girls together.
We did discuss a lot of regarding religion before we even decided to get married. Our original agreement was that we should go to my church one week and his the next. We agreed that our future kids would be baptized Catholic- Honestly I agreed to this based on the sole fact that it wouldn’t hurt them and they could get rebaptized when they were older if they wanted. I also agreed thatthey would go to catholic school- this I agreed to b/c liked the idea of the uniforms and prayer in school. I wanted to get married outside. HIs priest said that we could not get married outside and have a catholic wedding. I didn’t want a Catholic wedding b/c I wanted to personalized the ceremony a little bit. SO we had my pastor marry us but his Priest was there to bless our marriage. I still don’t understand why he couldn’t marry us but he could bless our marriage, but that is another topic all together. Anyway, we switched off churches every week for a little while. I used to get so mad at him b/c if it was our turn to go to my church on Sunday he would still go to the Catholic church on Sat night. I felt like he thought that my church wasn’t important. Keep in mind that at this point I had no knowledge of the Catholic Church other than the things I had been told were wrong with it. At this time I would not even consider becoming Catholic. I was against it through and through. Then when our first baby was born I did not want to take her to a nursery so we started attending only the Catholic Church where it was more acceptable to have a baby in church. This is what we have done ever since. My will be 4 in January. I have since started digging deeper and deeper into the teaching of the Catholic Church. I started reading about the Church to try to find out why the Catholic’s worship Mary. In turn I learned that Catholic’s do not worship Mary. This led me to wonder what else I thought I knew was wrong. I have been studying the Catholic Church’s teachings for about 2 years now. I may be on my way to conversion. I’m not sure yet. I do know that my husband is praying for that.

I decided to tell you my whole story b/c I wouldn’t want to you to ever miss the opportunity to marry a man who would be a terrific husband and father because of his religion- whether it’s this guy or another one. I know that religion is a huge part of who you are, but marring someone who is not Catholic would give you the possibility of leading them to conversion. My dh never pushed. He answered my questions if I had them. We never argued about religion b/c underneath it all we are both Christians. Jesus would not want us fighting about HIM. Remember to pray. You don’t have to decide this on your own. God will help you.
