Yeah, that’s the additional pun of it.By “you guys”, do you mean women (?!?)
Never would that have dawned upon me, you know.Well, yes, I meant “complement”. That is why I chose to use the word “complement”.![]()

I don’t care what everybody else on the forum says, you’re a good time, Chev!Yeah, that’s the additional pun of it.

I had a car salesman tell me with a completely straight face that when looking at used cars the higher the mileage the better because then you know that it runs well. I just laughed at him and walked away. He was such a jerk!Prejudice is not dead. Even if a woman is fully capable of assessing the car herself, it is true that car salespeople too often assume they don’t have to offer as favorable deal to a female as to a male in order to make the sale. They do the same on ethnic grounds, typically offering the best deals to whites over blacks and Asians…not always, but this is what studies have found is the trend. It is not at all clear that this is a;ways a conscious discrimation, although sometimes it is. So yes, it is unfortunately true that if you want a good deal it is probably sensible to bring a white male with you and pretend that he has veto power on the sale.

I know a guy with a Kenworth he calls “Miss Molly”. Guys are notorious for having affectionate feelings towards their vehicles, including pet names. But no, you don’t want the car salesman see you slobber on the hood.Good for you!
I have a girly tendency to name my cars as if they were pets or something - so having a friend’s husband with me makes me keep this embarrassing habit to myself - at least until after the auto purchase is made.![]()
I guess we have something in common then!I don’t care what everybody else on the forum says, you’re a good time, Chev!![]()

Yes, that would be the same arrangement in our household. I’m surprised not to find him on a chair.:bigyikes: <— THIS is my husband around spiders. I’m the one who has to remove my shoe to do the dirty work.
Other than that… he’s my hero.![]()
Look at the bright side…at least you’re usually succinct.I guess we have something in common then!![]()
I can top that. A used car salesman very kindly pointed out to me that the car I was buying had a back seat that completely lays flat, in case I wanted to…sleep…in it…only he didn’t say sleep.I had a car salesman tell me with a completely straight face that when looking at used cars the higher the mileage the better because then you know that it runs well. And correct. But modest about it.Look at the bright side…at least you’re usually succinct.
Yeah.(To the thread: “When we need a few words to sum it all up.”–because there is a guy in every group who is the master at that!![]()
Hellooo! When guys get into bat fights they have no logic or reasoning because they’re drunk. Alcohol abuse keeps me employed as a probation officer.Mmm…if guys always used their brains instead of acting on emotion, cops would never be called to bar fights. And unless someone is in ROTC, let’s not drag soldiering into this. That’s getting beyond the purview of what college guys typically do.
How about: When our logic isn’t working, yours is, because I think men and women get emotional under different circumstances. We complement each other, that way.
Yeah, it’s also kind of mean since they are blind.Hellooo! When guys get into bat fights they have no logic or reasoning because they’re drunk.

Hey, typos happen to all of us.
