Help with marriage issue

I’m trying not to pass out from shock but I just went out to the dining room and he’s looking up jobs on INDEED. Whoo hoo!. I played it cool though…all causal and non-interested like.

If he was in tech support (fixing peoples PC’s etc) he should be able to find. I won;t say easily, because it never is easy… well, maybe in 1999 it was easy to find a job on your lunch break if you were in IT, but now it is not so. It will be easier though than someone who was very very specialized. Again, hospitals are hiring like crazy in IT in many places. Just encourage him to keep applying EVEN if he doesn’t think he is qualified. I tell my kids that all the time… let the person looking for the job determine if you are not qualified. I ended up at the company I am now out of the blue and I had NO experience over the application they wanted me to manage. What I did have though was the ability to manage people, so that mgmt experience helped me do my job. It all worked in the end.

Thank you for sharing that John. It was like reading my own story. My husband was IT, gave his all to the company, now is drinking much, much more (though, in my opinion this has been a problem for a long time) than usual and yes, I think he is paralyzed (perfect word for what it seems to be). Sigh. I will just keep praying and have hope that it all works out. I don’t think I can motivate him, anything I say just seems to anger him. I guess I will focus on what I can do for our situation and leave the rest to God. I don’t know what else to do.

Thank you again. Hopefully I will be able to give a positive update before too long.
