I guess I am confused as to any of next season. Is there really that much info available at this point?
Yes! I think only one of the two were vaporized. In past shows, it was confirmed that one with his powers could vaporize a city and walk away from it.

PS Death to Sylar, TBEM!

Sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about. My question was regarding the next season. Someone said that there will only be 6 episodes and another poster said that the other characters will not be involved next season.

My question is…where did they get their info.

I may have brought up the idea of six episodes, I think others have too. I read in some on-line magazine or article that there would be thirty episodes next year. Twenty-four would be standard and six would be Heroes - Origins. The *Heroes - Origins *would each introduce a new character and the viewers, would vote on which of the six to keep in the continuing show.

If I confused anyone I apologize.

Sorry

The six episodes will be for the summer time, after the regular season. The information can be found, though you have to search, at www.nbc.com/heroes

I’m not so sure about that. Are we certain he did not absorb Claire’s power from Petrelli since they were facing each other off in such close proximity?

There has to be something about that moving goop in the manhole…I think it’s Sylar.

Sylar (TBEM) doesn’t get power from absorbing it from others like Peter does. He kills them and eats their brain. Yes, I believe Sylar (TBEM) is going to return next season. Not because he has any ability to regenerate, but because the writers want him to stick around.

I never was clear as to what he did with the brain. I guess eating it is a reasonable assumption. Could it be that he inspects it to see how it works and then trains his brain? OK - I know it’s a stretch, just questioning it.

BTW, WTH is TBEM? TY

I have similar thought also, because he could see when something isn’t right, so there’s probability that he has to observe someone’s brain before he could have the power.

Btw, there are power that he absorbs but he never uses so far. Well, at least one. 😃

I’ve suspected this for awhile and it was confirmed when Molly declared it on the last or second to last episode. She saw her parents murdered by Sylar, TBEM. The very first time he killed, he didn’t have any other power except the ability to see how things work. I didn’t think he had any way to absorb the brain except eating it. So I labeled him, Sylar, That Brain Eating Maggot.

Yeah, I need a life.

Btw, the final episode, was it 1 hour or 2 hours?
I’m just curious to know.

It was just one hour, but they managed to fit in a good conclusion without seeming rushed, IMO.

I know (from fansite messageboards) that some fans were disappointed that the fight between Peter and Sylar wasn’t long enough or as good as could have been. 🤷

I’m thrilled that Hiro remained noble, Ando remained alive, and most of the semi-bad guys (regarding the post early in the thread about how most of the “heroes” really weren’t that heroic) were redeemed. I also really like the fact that there are kid characters that are precocious and smart without being the “all adults are morons” type you see in sitcoms.

I read on Wikipedia’s “Sylar” article that his precise method for absorbing powers will be revealed somehow in Season 2.
And Hero had darn well better be in it, since it starts with him landing in the middle of one of those stories he used to like so much.

Questions: I missed out on most of the stuff with Linderman. He had the ability to heal other people, right? I saw him regenerate a plant or something… Did peter ever get close to him?
I thought Peter could absorb powers without knowing he was doing it–isn’t that what happened with Claire’s power? I missed the episode but heard him talking about it later.
Finally, what ever happened to the chunk of glass in Peter’s head from the fight with Sylar? I missed the last half (Pizza again).
What I’m getting at is, might it be possible that Peter had some way of preventing Nathan from getting vaporized?

This would be so much easier if I just had some fast internet. Oh well, all will be revealed in August when the DVDs come out. 🙂

Sylar’s way of “absorbing” powers is he eats the brains of his victims. Thus taking their powers and killing them in the process.

Peter never met Linderman thus couldn’t absorb his ability. He absorbed Clare’s power because he was close enough to her.

After the encounter with Sylar, Peter was brought to the house of his mother where they all thought he was dead. Clare was there as well. When she was morning him she discovered the piece of glass in his head and pull it out. Peter healed himself and came back to life.

As to what happened to Nathan, we’ll find out next season. There’s a lot of thing that could have happened but its up to the writers to make up something. Its the same with Sylar. He should have died from the sword but the writers had other ideas.

Sylar has to be the scariest villain I have ever seen! I hope someone gets him killed soon.
On another note, has anyone heard about the new spinoff, “Heroes: Origins”?
ohhh no I hadn’t heard about that at all. nice to not have to wait all the way until fall for a HEROS fix though!

I have to confess, I wanted Sylar to die. That brain eating maggot.
“Father, forgive me for I have sinned . . .”
:rotfl:

**Me too! The boys and I were sitting here all blood-thristy yelling at the tv “Don’t just leave him there after a single slice through the gut! What are you thinking!? Cut him up! Cremation! You don’t leave a critter like that just laying around dead or not! Don’t turn your back on him! Noooo! What are you thinking?!!”😛 **

OMGoodness! I can’t believe NONE of you want to know who it is that Molly thinks is WORSE than Syler! The only one she’s scared to find because when she looks for him, “He sees her face.” Cripes! If he’s worse than Syler, I wouldn’t want him lookin’ at me either!

Looking forward to the next season!

Thanks, that clears things up considerably.

Maybe Hiro’s power, then. Teleport Nathan, explode, then teleport himself (or just fall and splat and regenerate). You’re right, they’ll figure out some death cheat.

I read that they left the brain eating thing intentionally vague, mostly because it was silly and reminds people of zombies.(en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sylar) But anywho…

Yeah, whoever it is that can see Molly when she uses her power is probably going to be the villain of Season 2. Very creepy.

I’m looking forward to next season. 🙂 I liked the ending but I was surprised that Sylar lives but then it makes sense because he took on the healing power.

I don’t think Sylar eats the victims brains but then the brains are missing so who knows 🤷

someone was asking if there was a Stargate thread, I wish there was a Ghost Whisperer thread! 😃 I missed the final episode on that one 😦
