He's FINALLY leaving!

He gave us a 15 day notice on Tuesday night!!! I’m so excited!!!

Sunday or Saturday night he got me sooooo angry. He was making noise at 12am dropping things on the floor (not caring about who’s sleeping) and of course, his awful g/f was here.

I got so mad for him being so noisy even after my husband talking to him about it, that I got up wrote him a note and told him to please be quiet after 10:30pm as my dh had asked him to a few months back and reminded him that his room is right above ours and that I could hear EVERYTHING! So, maybe that did it!!! He gave us notice the day he pays the rent. We had asked for a 30 day notice when he moved in, but I DON"T CARE!!! I want him out now!!!

But anyhow, even my note didn’t work. Wednesday I was sleeping, resting from my surgery I had Monday morning… it was around 6ish in the evening when he and the girl got here and started having SEX w/o caring I was here!!! :mad: :mad: I told dh to call him and to please tell him to be considerate since I’m supposed to be taking it easy, but he didn’t call, so this guy did it again on Thursday!! I had it… I yelled from my room to please go to a hotel and respect my house. So, no… he didn’t care. Fine, I got up and wrote him another note telling him I was tired of him disrespecting my house and for him being so “discreet” when the owners are home, especially after I had just had my surgey and I’m supposed to be on bed rest for 2 wks. ARGH!!! So, I printed a copy of the ad we had published when he first contacted us about the room, which clearly says we wanted a clean, quiet, drug-free, drama-free person and put in on an envelope and left it where he picks up his mail. I reminded him we had asked for just one person because we were trying to avoid situations as such and have someone who’d respect our moral values. :mad:

I can’t believe I finally had the guts to tell him!! He’s leaving on the 7th and he BETTER have the room and bathroom looking like new (we had NEVER used them before he moved in, so the carpet was brand new and the bathroom was newly redone)… otherwise, I’m keeping his deposit for breaking the rules and making my life miserable snce my miscarriage till now, and for leaving w/o a 30 day notice…

Oh, and may I say my note finally worked. He’s as quiet as can be and his g/f hasn’t had the face to show up! And can you believe these people are Catholic???

Anyway, I can’t wait for the 7th to finally get my peace and sanity back!!! :extrahappy:

Thank you for being there all the times I’ve needed to vent bout this!!! I’m seriously as excited as a little kid about to open Christmas presents!!

Oh, and dh is changing the locks as soon as this guy leaves on the 7th!!! 😃

NEVER!!! I will NEVER in the right state of mind rent a room to someone else! I have a hard time lving with my husband when he’s here :o … I think this was just what I needed to learn that the saying in Spanish totally makes sense! “Casados = casa de dos” —> married means a house for 2! (casa = house, dos = 2).

If there were a need to help out a family member or a friend, then I’d think about it twice, but would not turn them away, but hopefully I won’t ever need to do that… but more likely than not, my brother, his dw and step dd will need help when he gets out of the military and moves back to the US, so I gotta keep my mind open to that (but the dude has so much money saved up, he might not even need help - at least he’s good at saving money!!!)…

This is why my husband is buying a manufactured home, which hopefully we’ll have before we have to give this one back to the bank… The mortgage and rent don’t even come to 1/3 of what we were paying for this home!!! :eek: And it’s going to be almost as big! This house is 1635 sq ft in a 6000 sq ft lot. The other one is going to be 1495 sq ft in a 4000 sq ft lot!

Just a note for those who know my situation… while dh is getting the house on his name for us, I’ll be the one living there alone with the dog, bird, turtles and frog 😃 … if things get better he’ll move in… after all… everything we owe is on my name and since we’re still married, I’m entitled to a house, no? My credit helped us for the 2 yrs we’ve been married, now that it’s going to be ruined, his new credit history is the one we have to rely on… oh, and the house will be on both our names, just the loan will be on his (just the way we did it for this one, only my name’s on the loan).
 
Yaaaaay glad the tenant is moving out. Woohoo! Hope you can get some peace and quiet and rest. You deserve it! Hope things get better between you and DH too. Glad you got the job too 🙂 I wasn’t sure if it was a practicum where you don’t get paid, or if you get paid ( so you can help pay the mortgage eeep!)

it is paid!!! The only bad thing is that it’s “on call” but I will be working about 40 hrs a wk.

Oh, I already do. Remember back in January when I was pondering whether to take the job w/a vet or the externship at the clinic? Well, the clinic hired me. 😃 All they need is for my background and drug screen to clear and I can start!!!

Watch out for intentional hidden damage when the guy leaves. (soaking a section of the carpet, loosening water pipes, etc.) My family has rental properties and though these things haven’t happened to us, we know to look for it in the case of an evicted tenant. Just an fyi for ya’.

Thanks for reminding me about that. I did mention to my dh that our dog knows him so if he were to try to break in, it’d be really easy. That happened to us when my sister broke up w/some looney back in 99 and our dog knew him, so he was able to climb the fence, break through our bedroom window and steal some of my sister’s things :mad:

At least I’ll be home for a few more wks before I begin work. And my neighbor is always home and is always outside doing something in the garage. I might ask him to keep an eye out for this guy.

Well, even though we’re leaving our house in a few months, I had a burglary alarm installed yesterday (for free because I let the company put their sign in my yard). Just in case this guy decided to try and get in somehow after we change the locks, now we have this. Its so cool! I never had one of these so it’s my new toy for added security!
