Hey Episcopals, are you joining the Anglican Church?

This I knew. My interest is in what the Communion’s reaction is going to be. It seems to me that it will difficult indeed for any official notice to be taken of the ACNA, by +Cantaur, or by the Communion as a whole, for a variety of reasons. Let me know if and when the story breaks.

I surely will GKC. I have one foot in the door of Anglicanism and will probably be changing spiritual residences once the ACNA officially materializes.

I thank you, in advance. And look before you leap.

i was baptized and confirmed in the episcopal church. it meant a lot to me growing up and i loved the book of common prayer. however, as i became an adult, i strayed away from a religious life and when i finally tried to return to the church, i began to notice a lot of things that i hadn’t seen when i was 18. i felt kind of uneasy. i found an episcopal church that had priests who were committed to the gospel and the traditional beliefs taught in the gospel and they gave updates teaching us what was happening within the episcopal church, why there was so much controversy, and what some parishes were doing.
i began to pay attention to what was happening and realized that the lambeth conference was not really solving anything. a group of us from the congregation split off and formed an anglican church and it was somehow associated with the church in uganda, but they were still in communion with the archbishop of canterbury. i stayed briefly, but realized that i would not be happy remaining in a church that was still in communion with the archbishop of canterbury so i decided to convert to the roman catholic church. there are so many different types of anglican groups here in america now that it is very confusing. if they could ever unite under one body, that would be wonderful, but i don’t see that happening.

I can appreciate this. But believe me when I say that once Christ truly comes into your life and you begin to understand his grace, the confusion is gone.

i partly agree, but sometimes the controversy becomes a distraction and you realize that more people are interested in promoting their own agenda between episcopal and anglican and your spiritual life flounders. at least mine did.

I understand that as well and I do agree that it happens. That’s why the focus must remain on Christ and God’s Holy Word. Nothing else works and continues to be truth.
